Despite anyones beliefs, on homosexuality whether it be of disapprobation or approbation for any reason, (which, if you're a rational, moral person there's no reason for the former) you can't do anything about it. Legally, state marriage is a document. Ethically, there's no problem with the marriage, or any problems with the kids being raised in same-sex homes.
So, if you can't engage in discourse with rational, moral reasons, you've no foundation. And the Bible, isn't a foundation either.

It's nowhere near a necessity to "need" a mother-figure. It may have its subjective benefits and the studies may show healthy benefits toward a mother figure (which in a certain way, one of them will probably fulfill the role), but overall, especially if they're adopting a kid, there's no real risk.
(Father figures, don't actually matter much, according to the studies.)

I don't find it funny that you compare the color of someone's skin to a choice one makes to engage in immoral behavior. Immoral people, whether they have an urge or a disposition to or not, choose to snort stuff up their nose; some choose to drink well beyond their limits; some choose to molest animals; and some choose to sleep with members of the same sex. None of these are comparable to the color of a man's skin.

Jesus doesn't appear in any census, also there are discrepancies in his birth. Such as one book says he was born during king Herod's time and another says he was born during the first census. Those instances are over 70 years apart, so one is obviously false... if not both. The bible is also not a psychology document.

Despite anyones beliefs, on homosexuality whether it be of disapprobation or approbation for any reason, (which, if you're a rational, moral person there's no reason for the former) you can't do anything about it. Legally, state marriage is a document. Ethically, there's no problem with the marriage, or any problems with the kids being raised in same-sex homes.
So, if you can't engage in discourse with rational, moral reasons, you've no foundation. And the Bible, isn't a foundation either.

It may have its subjective benefits and the studies may show healthy benefits toward a mother figure (which in a certain way, one of them will probably fulfill the role), but overall, especially if they're adopting a kid, there's no real risk.
(Father figures, don't actually matter much, according to the studies.)

People eat animals without animal consent - animals don't truly have any sort of human rights... and it's still immoral to sleep with one. All sexuality is a choice - to engage in immoral or moral relations. There is a clinical name for people who can't control their actions. Also, it is possible for two people to abuse each other consensually - that doesn't make it right either. Our society values life. Using that capacity outside of a procreative relationship is wrong.

It's not that sex has to make a baby every time to be moral, but that sex needs to be practiced only within a procreative relationship, and without abuse. Strengthening the bond of a procreative couple is important too - in fact, we have laws in place to help protect, set bounds, ensure success, and to provide societal reverence for procreative relationships – among which are anti-sodomy and marriage laws.

Sexual sins are among the most repugnant. "Men having sex with men" is not mentioned in the OT but in the New Testament by the Apostle Paul (Romans 1:27) who speaks of vile, reprobate practices that go against nature: "in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly."

Jesus doesn't appear in any census, also there are discrepancies in his birth. Such as one book says he was born during king Herod's time and another says he was born during the first census. Those instances are over 70 years apart, so one is obviously false... if not both. The bible is also not a psychology document.

However what annoys me is this whole concept of "if we allow gays to be parents, the family will collapse," that is one of the most untruthful myths that has unfortunately led some people in this debate. if you do your research, you'll find that traditional couples beneath the age of 45 have a 50% probability of divorce and we all want to complain about broken homes??

Didn't see Romney mocking anything, but straight-forwardly speaking the facts. Homosexual lifestyles are not family friendly. Take a look at Denmark and other countries where gay marriage has been allowed for a generation. Marriage is only practiced by about 3% of gays there, and it is much more volatile than traditional marriage. Broken homes are bad enough on kids in traditional marriages. Why would any society want to add a non-traditional marriage system that increases broken homes?

Bigotry is a learned behavior, while sexuality is present at (or even before) birth. Nothing can be done about the latter, but the former may be overcome, though it's a tough fight. One thing's for sure: This crusade against gays has never yet changed a single person from gay to straight or from straight to gay.
We are what we are, and will be that way until we die. We can fight those facts of life, or we can accept them, but we can't change them. Wishing, hoping and praying changes nothing.

The Bible was written for an audience 2,000 years ago. sin separates you from God - so whether engaging in homosexual acts separates you from God or not is, with all due respect, not your concern because you clearly are not a person who is homosexual and so you really have no right to judge a relationship with God that is not your own.
and please don't put quotes around the word suffering - just because someone is gay does not make their life experience any less real than yours.

The Bible is clear that homosexuality is an abomination, and only one out of 614. Oddly enough, lesbian sex is NOT included among these abominations. But it is not clear whether it's a sin. Nowhere in the OT or the NT does it say so. However, it takes more than clarity to decide the morality of a topic.
Further, the use of willpower is relative. It's immoral to demand that people have no sex life. And responsibility can be exercised within the full context of a homosexual relationship.

Lesbianism is an unclear subject in the Bible as you said, but I find it is best to completely abstain from any unclear areas. Why risk your eternal soul for a moment's pleasure?
I am not saying a person has to have no sex life, certainly they can get married. Even if they screw up and have homosexual sex, if they know it is wrong, repent, and try to improve they are fine. But to call it "responsible" to engage in it without remorse is ridiculously irresponsible to say the least!

Think of the dilemma your morality imposes. 1. Remain celibate, hence, suffer alienation and loneliness, deprive yourself of those most important relationships in which sexuality is basic. 2. Marry or court the opposite sex and have a life of dishonesty and deception. 3. Internalize guilt which makes it impossible for healthy relationships to develope. 4. Convert to heterosexuality. This cannot be done and SHOULDN'T be done because the motif would be to escape the stigma's traumatic effects.

You have it all wrong. First of all, there is NOTHING wrong with the celibate lifestyle. It is one of the most admirable, yet hard to achieve ones. Second, the only dishonesty is believing that you are helpless to CHANGE. Sin is sin and we are all capable of breaking free with discipline. Third, you SHOULD be internalizing guilt for living a unrepentant gay lifestyle if your moral compass is configured correctly. And Fourth, it CAN be done as we ALL have the ability to break free of sin.

To believe in something for which there is no evidence is stupid. In Ephesians and 1 Peter it says that everything that happens was preplanned before the creation of the world. They cannot prove anything regarding a genetic cause of homosexuality or we would have heard of it by now. Perhaps you can point to a specific journal article? Science is NOT on your side as you are only making claims without any evidence whatsoever. You should know that a persons entire genetic makeup is decided on conception.
