Wow, a couch and a mattress in the same bite, and following a full size TV? That's what I call good service!! Most haulers would charge quite a bit extra to collect all that. Nice videos!!
Back up North, I remember throwing out a big screen TV like that 1 & a Leach 2R2 came & crushed the shit out of it in 1 cycle like it was chump change!!! LOL, I sure wish I had a camera 15 yrs ago! Great Footage!!!!
Any electronics, especially TVs with the heavy metals they contain, should be prohibited from trash pickup. Hell, you can take them to Best Buy and they will recycle it. Pay $10 or whatever and get a gift card for the same amount so...free.
Bull crap! I took my computer to get recycled and they charged me 30 dollars for them to take it! I wound up getting thrown out of the store for flipping out and thrown my computer in the garbage for FREE!
Bull crap your ass. I've gone to several Best Buys and never paid $30 for it. Not sure where you're at. Besides, why have all that heavy metal in the tv such as lead in a landfill that will eventually seep into the water (it will, no matter how much they said it will not). Recycling is the responsible thing to do. Ten to 15 years down the road, we will look back at how stupid we were for not recycling more stuff during our time.
Caltrain, that's good if it's true. Electronics should be recycled just like bottles, aluminum cans, scrap metal. etc. On the east coast, like NJ or NY, it is mandatory to recycle your cans, bottles, etc and you are fined if you don't. Eventually, the other states will mimic this.
Where I live the state banned TV's and all electronics from the landfills in '06.
