The biography of Robert Millar describes that final scene round the back of the team car as if Robert is somehow extreme in his behaviour towards the journalist but it doesn't come across that way to me at all. I always enjoyed hearing Robert speak (in whatever way he felt like) and watching him ride. He was my favourite rider ever and I hope he is enjoying a peaceful private life.

@jimlan801 i know what you mean exactly in the book the author also says " stirring a cup of black liquid with such vigour that it looked like he was going to drill a hole in it." A bit dramatic dont you think, its no different than anyone else would stir a drink. Its just a writers way of blowing things out of proportion. I personally think its cringey.

Millar was runner up, in a Grand Tour 3yrs running, 85 Vuelta, 86 Vuelta & 87 Giro. A top class rider...

Robert was not scared of Hinault, He should have told hinault to F*** Off, not that hinault would have been upset, probably would have laughed, I think thats how you gain Hinaults respect you stood up to him....but few did.

The fella who interviewed Millar was a total 'Tool' like he's trying to sell life Insurance to a fella whose got 3 days to live, utterly cotemptous to the efforts RM went through for the last 7 hours, over 3 huge mountains, you can see he's fucked and yet yer man just asks the most pedantic questions and then fucks off after, nob jockey.
