In which case, if an "show ending" episode isn't shot as a back up early on in the season, then shows end on shitty cliffhangers (situation in a show with no resolution given).

Reaper deserved another season, but the CW got such a hard on for Smallville, that there was no money left to give Reaper a 3rd season. Fuck Smallville!
