I have practice against this colossus probably more hours than you and my time is still 1:12:65 and my average is about 1:25 (when I sucess the lunch which is about 1/4)

some player have born talented for play video game and other not at all......sad

I would enjoy more the game without knowing those awesome time in youtube

...I hate this collsus. I can never understand what the heck I'm supposed to do. I always win by accident. This video made me feel so incompetent. But, yeah, I agree. Not much fun to play unless you're in timed mode. I'm always glad when this one dies tho; it's probably the only one.

this is the only enemie in a game that got dumber on hard mode. i keep on shooting him with arrows, i took out his neck vital with spears and when i hide in those holes, he just won't bend over to look for me! he just walks away and forgets about me! so from now on i wait til he gets to the hills and when he's almost there i jump with agro from the hill and catch his ropethings.

Normal Time Attack (standard number of vitals on each with normal sword damage) vs Hard Time Attack (+1 vital on most "not all" with less sword damage on all) Thats as far as I know.

This is excellent. You may actually be able to get 42:xx or 43xx. Whenwhen I was doing some HTA runs on Phaedra, one of the times I jumped gave me HUGE air. I don't know the exact amount cause I accidently got caught under him while rising (from the jump) for about a second. I managed to pull Wander backwards and he kept rising to a bit above where you grabbed. I think you could land on top of him with this, saving a couple seconds, but I have no idea how to replicate it.

Yeah, I actually discovered this on accident. The first time I was just trying to make it onto his tail, but I actually made it all the way up onto his back and was able to start running as soon as I landed. But then I got so excited and I fucked it up :P Haven't been able to pull it off again. I've gotten close.

Every 2 that you kill nets you a special item to use in the main game. Normal and hard mode each have their own set of unique items. Well, mostly. They share a couple things.

If you'll permit me to give you a tip on this guy, try doing the thing you did to #1's leg to #4's neck. I dunno, whatever works. My time is 1:21...*sob*

If he starts turning his head to the left when I'm running up his back, then I jump and swing at it. But if he's holding still like he was this time, it's better to stab it. If you hit him in the head 5 full times you'll see he still has a little nick of health left. It's faster to take that off while stabbing his neck, instead of stabbing him 6 times in the head.

Oh wait, I know what you meant now :P That's actually what I was TRYING to do here, just backwards. Stab then slash. Usually I stab him and let go when he shakes so he kinda throws me, slash, then immediatly grab ahold again. 2 hits in half a second :P But I let go way too late here and kinda...stumbled =/

Is there some special timing to that jump to get on his tail? Because I've done this numerous times, and never make it farther than that first ledge on his leg. Maybe I just fail, but if there's something I'm doing wrong I'd like to know.

This is my least favorite colossus so managing a decent kill time would be quite satisfactory to me, but seeing you do it is almost as good.

You need to keep an eye and/or an ear on his left leg. When he slams it down, climb up. You need to jump about 1 second later. Also, you need to jump back towards the tip of his tail, because when the colossus brings its leg up, it kinda throws you forward. So if you try to jump straight at your mark, you're gonna end up cracking your head on his thigh ^^
