Hey nice demo man! I am definitely considering this amp, but I have one question: What song/ play along track is this dude playing at 4:35 demonstrating metal capabilities? I have to know!
Good demo friend. I just bought one last week and needed some advice on saturation and sustain. Hey presto ! You answered my question. Btw The overdive is fine for me, but I will be getting a pedal to drive it more at lower levels for recording. Up to now I'm satisfied with my purchase. Note - Heavy metal folks will probably need an overdrive pedal to push the gain further.
great i love the tone this would be great for bedroom playing for someone that wants a half stack only thing i dont like is it does not have a headphone input
helo pls help the cabinet of that marshall haze is it 16 ohm or 8 ohms?????cuz im going to but marshall haze only one cabinet and i want to change the speaker into vintage 30 by celestion....is it ok if 16 ohms????can u pls help me
@SumThenfancy : Nope. You have to have speakers with the head (unless you're going directly through the PA). Either way, you gotta have speakers. You could go for a half stack, a full stack, or a combo, in which you have the head and one speaker in the same unit. I have 2 JCM 2000 TSL half stacks, as well as a JCM 800 Combo. I actually prefer my combo for gigging, as it beats lugging a bunch of stuff around. Not to mention that it has absolutely fantastic tone.
Had one of these for a day. I found the eq very lacking, and as soon as we tried to use the effects, the whole thing became VERY digital sounding. The worst part, while I was playing, the amp made a loud popping soung and I was shocked right through the guitar. Returned it the next day and picked up a Fender Deluxe VM, much better amp for me.
@809Metallica Negative dude. He is a nice guy. If you don't know the difference between a southerner and a redneck, then maybe you can't be helped. - Mike
i heard ppl fuck tubes n transformers cuz ther obviuosly cheaper quality then normal marshalls otherwise they woodnt be affordable...but the 40 makes more sense cuz its only 100 more then the 15 head
Not really. It's marshall's lowest end tube amp. You can pay well into the thousands of dollars for low wattage amps. Wattage has little do to with price.
Great job on the demo, Scott. We'll see you Saturday to get up close & personal with a Marshall Haze 40. Also, I agree with the "malmer" above. It's easy get to get a metal sound out of most amps. Just add a pedal to the ones that don't distort enough. The real trick is to find an amp that'll do classic rock, metal & blues. This little baby sounds great!
gr8 demo man...am so glad u demonstrated it wd a jackson for metal guys showing them that this thing can go metal too.....pple been sayin that this amp only for hendrix sound
The stack looks cooler then the 40

ichi612 1 year ago
@ichi612 the haze has capability for two cabinets at 8ohms or one cabinet at 16 ohms (there are three outputs in the back of the head for this).
For what I know the stock cabinet handles 66 watts so why you want to go lower?
anyway, you should be fine unless you go UNDER 8 ohms

Is this stack loud enough for a band and smaller gigs? Does it have more power when plugged into 4x12, and does that change the sound?
overdriven77 1 year ago
Those head's sound better plugged into a 4x12.

900 for a 3 foot stack, is it worth it?

Could, if the tubes blow, i put in EL-34's for the True marshall tone?
XzaccYXguitarXplayer 1 year ago
I get it switched to EL34 or KT66. I wish it had an FX loop in case a buyer didn't like the onboard echo or reverb.

how many watts ?
shittyfuck 2 years ago
The 15 and 40 are totally different platforms ....The 6V6 power tube vs. EL34
it could be that the 15 format is from an old studio 15 that was made in the 80s

this amp is high quality, its not cheap because of the quality, but because of the low wattage its only 15

We appreciate your feedback!!
