@MrKozeljko This is 8th grade math in Michigan. 8th grade - Pre- Algebra, 9th Grade - Algebra 1, 10th Grade - Geometry, 11th grade - Algebra 2, 12th grade - Statistics & Pre-calculus/ calculus <--- That's all of high school math then college I guess get's harder.

2x6=12 why put a word (x) in there when there`s no need, it just confuses things. why do that?

@jedi88ful I'm not sure what you mean...but you use variables such as 'x' to multiply instead of confusing 'x' as a multiplication problem. Liike... 3 x x= 6 Confusing, right? Well, you can use 3x=6 to make it easy...You can also use a dot or a star (*) to show multiplication. Again, I'm not sure what you ment...my best guess is this

My way is simpler. I would take seven from fifteen, which is eight. Then divide four into eighth, which is two. X=2
