Very talented man. Beautiful voice, love love love listening to him. I think "The Weekend" is one of the best songs ever! Can you tell I'm a child of the 80's? :)
I remember dring down the Ventura Freeway from Thousand Oaks to L.A. to work, listenng to this song and dreamng of movng faf away to the country. ives me a happy feeling
Hi Nicole yeah they never play classic country on the radio. Too bad when your driving would be a great time to listen to it. Thankyou to the people here on youtube that post these classics for our enjoyment.
i dont 2 step worth a crap i had a hottie girl friend and if i didnt some one else would. HERES a true story the last time i two stepped steve was playing in denver and i was going around the stage and i was with in 10 feet of steve and he looked at me and gave me as sincere of a smile a human could give another no sex thing it was just from a person who must have a sprit thats often talked about but seldom encountered ill never forget it. and as is only natural we broke up--that big hair..OUCH
I always thought Steve's first album was heavilly influenced by Glen Campbell. Their voices are similar, this song and Southern Nights like you mentioned, By Now and By the Time I Get to Phoenix, and Kansas City Lights to Galveston. Which in no way is this a bad thing. I think it took a couple of albums before he seperated himself as an artist from a Campbell clone.

Today's Country music is shite...
sambo75420 1 year ago 2
This guy's voice reminds me of Kenny Rodger's the 80s had the best music,
nothing like todays Country, they just destoyed it.
keefer2111 1 year ago
Today's music is all about a video with a sub par voice accompanied by a sweaty chest or a pair of boobs. Plain and simple. Talent is secondary.

Wow, listen to that echo! That's some massive reverb on his voice, sounded like he recorded this in a canyon.

One of My favorite albums of all time. Yea Glen Campbell, but every song is great. For some reason he didn't get the airplay he deserved.
