  • @gopkicksbutt yeah they feed off fear and hypocracy because they dont even let ron paul in. I am sick of tyrancy. Control freaks.

  • How can he defend a record when every thing he tried was sabbataged by the right wing? GoP is as vicious as the left was on pres. Bush. Any one out there 4 freedom? RON PAUL. GET HIM ON AND LET THE PEOPLE DECIDE.

  • ~^GOP's Paul Ryan uses"projection"when ACCUSING Obama of"class warfare".CLASS WARFARE is what REPUBLICAN$ have been waging for the last 30 yrs. Since the Reagan&Bush tax cuts, the wealthest have been paying less tax than at anytime in America's history. More jobs have been lost in said period than at anytime since 1929. PAULIE,everyone form NY to Janesville,WI (your hometown)to Seattle knows that YOU are out to DESTROY MEDICARE.TAKE YOUR CORPORATE DONATIONS& RETIRE.YOUR LOBBYING JOBA AWAITS YOU.

  • @poindexterwitkowsky Um, you may want to do a little study of American tax history. First, the modern income tax started in 1918. The rate before then was 0%. Google search "Pretty Pictures and a Political Rorschach Test". The lowest rates in modern times was from one of the so-called Reagan tax cuts, Who was the bill's cosponsor? Democrat Dick Gephardt. Look up "Tax Reform Act of 1986".

  • @poindexterwitkowsky What a crock! Obama has his Admin STUFFED with "Wall Street Fatcats" & the DEMS cut a trillion out of Medicare to fund Obamacare! It's a load of BS that I and many aren't buying that the Dems care one iota about Medicare! They count on Americans not paying attn & forgetting that they have already gutted Medicare, & THAT is why ins premiums have skyrocketed, why Medicare recipients now PAY for what was free i.e. Medicare Advantage, a great program. Ryan is brilliant!

  • Paul is right. Only flaw I see in Paul's speech is that he speaks too fast. Paul does not seem to realize that he is speaking to People not News anchor.

  • Paul Ryan rocks. The sad thing is the people that troll around attacking and complaining and offer no substantive solution to debate (Senate, White House). There hasn't been a plan out of either of those bodies that seriously attempts to deal with the problem.

Taxing the rich and hammering Wall Street feels good, but doesn't heal the economy. Eliminating deductions, means testing benefits, and lowering corporate rates to compete internationally must be involved in any solution.

  • Sorry folks, do you really want Paul Ryan? He is an aficionado of Ayn Rand -- the person who does NOT believe in giving a helping hand to anyone. That is, no social security (except for herself and Paul Ryan), no medicaid, no medicare. No regulations agains pollution.

Since when is he against subsidizing the wealthy? Where did that come from? And what has he ever proposed that would substantiate that position?

  • @bensmomjo54 Yes absolutely I want Paul Ryan and his policies. He is earnestly and thoughtfully trying to save Medicare and SS before they both collapse. He has always been for capitalism, not crony capitalism. There is a big difference between the two that those with the "all things from government" do not understand. People should be free to find their own way and to pursue their own opportunities. Most government interference in private affairs leads to economic and societal decline.

  • When people get hurt or killed will obama take responsibly with all his class warfare speeches? Hope this is the last time we put a senator or rep. as POTUS Its all obama, all the pain and suffering is HIS and the democRATS they did it tying to make George Bush look bad. Yes the democrats did this to us they took control in 07 then the white house in 08 and obama was a senator back then IT IS THE DEMOCRATS THAT KILLED THE JOBS

  • Congressman Ryan is my hero, too. His proposals come the closest to those of the bi-partisan commission President Obama first assembled and then rejected after they presented their proposals to him. The Congressman has the courage of his convictions, prudential optimism, and tenacity, a rare combination among many politicians today.

  • Why don't we have intelligent people like this running for president? I haven't seen a truly GOOD candidate for a while.

  • You nailed the president to a tee. You should have tagged this morning joe with the fact that fannie and freddie CEO's got 13 million dollars in bonuses and they owe us hundreds of billions of dollars. Wallstreet does not owe us as much as they do. What say you now OWS.

  • why won't he run in 2012... this is a guy I would love to have a chance to vote for... we just as well go find Bob Dole and run him again if we are even going to think about the rest of the group who is going to run...

  • He's made an excellent point on that, katwil. He is now where he can do the most good for the country with the skills he has.

While I'd love to be able to vote for a leader with his character, I have to agree. I'm just glad I get to vote for him again when the time comes around!

  • You're my hero, Congressman. Keep fighting the good fight. If you won't run this time, please consider it in the future - the countyr needs you!
