Also, the US is the most overworked industrial nation in the world, so parents just can't raise their children when they have to work 60 hours a week just to put food on the table. When children are raised by television because their parents are forced to work by their greedy bosses, children tend to get ADD and can't adjust to school.

You can find the same exact numbers in any banana-republic where a handful of people own the country. The fact that they rich pay a larger share in taxes is a symptom of the fact that they have all the money, and the working class and poor have next to nothing. The fact that the rich have so much money in the first place- that is what is stolen.

@vince33x I think any person concerned with morality and/or democracy should care greatly about egalitarianism. Democracy gains as a population becomes more egalitarian. Democracy diminishes as a small group of people commandeer a larger relative share of wealth and control of the economy.
The people on Wall Street and other billionaires "earned" their money in the same way Suharto or Mubarak "earned" it- by stealing and exploiting.

Also conditions that your hypothetical frame layer would work under would be drastically different from his Ford autoplant counterparts. Social Security for US retired elderly citizens only, unemployment to about 2 years and universal single payer health care.
