  • I think they were talking about Alesana

  • Smokes, lets go. You can tell he's Canadian who loves TPB.

  • Lol I don't know if they were on that year or not but I imagine that there's a good chance they're talking about whitechapel, and tht makes me happy.

  • WHAT BAND ARE THEY TALKING ABOUT?...........

  • @IGNsucks Maybe Periphery.. like 4 guitarists.

  • @FallenEmpireFunFids 3 and one bass..............but no way its periphery that band is awesome, I think I found the answer though in the comments

  • How much shit did they smoke lol????

  • lol are they talking about alesana?

  • Is it just me or does Arif kind of sound like shaggy from Scooby Doo?

  • I'm 37, and I'm 13.

    xDDDDD

  • they are defiantly talking about alesana!

  • Josh can be as straight edge as can be but there's no way you can be within 100 feet of Arif and not get a contact high

  • He's 37. He looks like 25-28ish

  • @gunny104 it was a joke.

  • As far as the worst band at Warped Tour goes, this video was in 2008. Whitechapel did not play Warped Tour in 2008 and as far I know, neither did Alesana.

  • arif is really cool

  • Josh is BUILT lol. I'm kinda jealous from my small muscular arms :[

  • Does Arif mean Oreskaband?

  • Protest the hero > dog shit > alesana

  • yeah im sure they were talking about white chapel alesana at least has some pretty catchy riffs and in the new songs they havestring courtets

  • @DarkHeartHaven they better not be talking about whitechapel.. whitechapel eats alesana for breakfast.. i do like alesana though.

  • @hahauhaveaidshaha Whitechapel didn't play Warped Tour in 2008.

  • @DarkHeartHaven pretty sure they are talking about alesana. infact i would put money on the fact that they are talking about alesana

  • My friend smoked a joint with Arif before, no lie haha

  • @diangoman so did i, it was pretty sweet

  • who is he sayin is the best band? arif that is, cant make out the accent too good

  • "this tour was one giant weenie eating contest"

    lol.

  • @MrMetallica1294 Are you sure, cause Alesana run the same type of formula as Protest the hero. In their new stuff the actually did a string quartet. plus they only have 3 guitarists same as whitechapel. No offence but I just listened to some W.C. and all of it sounds the same. I'm not trying to get into a youtube yelling match, it's just hard for me to believe that they would be saying Alesana are not musicians. To me it sounded like they were talking about A7x.

  • @ShipMonster yeah except for the fact that they weren't on warped tour. idiot. Alesana don't run the same formula as protest they're not as technically skilled as them. If you say the word polyrythm to them they'd give you a blank stare.

  • @Boooby LOL, I said same "TYPE" formula. Not the exact same formula. The point, which you seemed to have missed completely, is that they are not referencing Alesana. Someone gets "youtube mussels" when they get on here and decides to shit on random bands they don't like. Or the worst case, some ignorant interrupt a CONVERSATION and inject their own insults to cover insecurity. Why bring negativity if it's not asked upon? Plus the statement "idiot." is not a complete sentence, captain detail.

  • @ShipMonster wanzuhmadih?

  • Arif is a fucking riot, not sure if he's stoned or drunk off his ass when he plays, but he always looks to be having so much fun.

  • Arif is Brutal

  • my names arif too ma fucka

  • Arif for president!

  • Arif is a fucking Legend

  • @mentim01 yes i agree

  • evergreen terrace never liked warped tour. the singer said it once a t a show @ Hamilton St cafe, Bound Brook when cheesy bands that play warped were trying to play hellfest. he basically said they they dont want that.

  • arif is deff drunk

butt arif looks like mad scrawny compared to josh

  • what band were they talking about when arif was asked whats the worst band on the tour?

  • i wanna no that to if u find out let me now

  • i think Alesana

  • That was easy

  • The description is wrong. Funny thing is, Arif is not a metal head at all. I saw a list of 20 random songs from his ipod and like only two were remotely metal, the rest was obscure jazz and stuff

  • @brutallity1966 i can believe that, he's so mellow on stage most of the time, just jammin'.

  • hah i knew it. bassists luv jazz

  • @brutallity1966 which is why he's mad crazy on bass

  • I so want to Bass Guitar for Chrismas!

  • arif can't role play as good as josh!

  • You suck

  • random

  • You think Protest is some sXe band?

    Get real moron.

  • @chadhall83 you dont like drugs?

  • whitechapel only have 3 guitarists because they want their live sound to be similar to the record... with harmonized leads (2 guitars) and the rhythm in the back.. it sounds better live.

i'm also guessing its because they didn't want to leave their friend behind who might have jammed with them back in the early days or something.

  • i saw them live.. and nooooooo it did not sound better.

  • whitechapel fucking owns. and no they are talking about Alesana

  • @erenoi True. They DO sound better live.

  • Yes, I checked out White Chapel. Boring Scenester shit from 2002.

  • aaah man they're on about whitechapel? aaah i love whitechapel lol, but ah well, both these guys seem pretty awesome anyways

  • theyre talking about Alesana

  • @MrMetallica1294 Are you sure, cause Alesana run the same type of formula as Protest the hero. In their new stuff the actually did a string quartet. plus they only have 3 guitarists same as whitechapel. No offence ( it looks like you love them ) but I just listened to some W.C. and all of it sounds the same. I'm not trying to get into a youtube yelling match, it's just hard for me to believe that they would be saying Alesana are not musicians. To me it sounded like they were talking about A7x.

  • Yeah, lol I think he's talkin bout WhiteChapel...

There like... not very creative... WITH a third guitarist. Probably just to play open notes on breakdowns... its really all they do anyway.

  • whitechapel werent on warped tour that year

  • @MadnessHero3 Well that's Deathcore, I like, someone always will like it, but at the same time, I like more Technical stuff like Protest The Hero or Periphery. It's nice to have a good mix of music, even if some of it is very generic "core" music; it's good for just being heavy and brutal, which is never bad.

  • "and i'm...thirteen" gah i love arif

  • I'm assuming for the worst band he'stalking about Whitechapel? Pretty true...

  • seriously, they smoked some fat blunts before this lol

  • if ur being sarcastic lol if not , hello josh is sxe.

  • shut the fuck up. god i hate when ppl see baked people everywhere

  • @pkyamaha17 josh is streight edge.

  • @pkyamaha17 Probably not... Josh from evergreen terrace is the vocalist of Casey Jones... Very straight edge.

  • @pkyamaha17 Josh sings for Casey Jones. You know, the straight edge band. GREAT JOB!

  • @pkyamaha17 uh yeah, that's totally possible considering Josh is straight edge

  • ...and i'm 13...?!

    Arif is a beast <3

  • what band was the worst one?

  • "That Was Easy" hahaha fucking hilarious

  • i like how we are trying to figure out who is cooler. They are playing Protest The Hero in the background

  • Arif! You badass. Fuk yeah

  • That was easy.

    LMFAO

  • whitechapel was not on the tour

  • I AGREE WHITE CHAPEL NEEDS 2 LESS GUITARS 4 is fuckin much

  • Except they only have 3 guitarists, and a bassist. They really don't need a third guitarist, but they still have it.

  • Oh I've chosen my words wisely Arif, maybe you should've done the same!

  • what does he mean "mainstage". is there different stages for the less mainstream bands? because i would be suprised if their was any real musically talented bands in the mainstream part of the tour.

  • in warped tour there are like 3 stages going on at once... the main stage, is basically for the popular bands.

  • yup there are 2 huge stages for the "bigger" bands

and a bunch of smaller ones for the less popular ones. although i must say, a lot of the bands that play the mainstages are crap.

  • @awagamgnalaw Well yeah, cause mainstage is for mainstream, and face it, mainstream is never really good, which is its mainstream; it's easily accessible by people who dont really care about what their music sounds like, and probably care more about how the people look and/or what everyone else is listening to. And to the people who say "it's mainstream because it's really good" no...just look at Lil Wayne, more people like him than don't, and he has no talent. End of. Smiley face :)

  • haha

    "and i'm 13!!"

  • HAHAHHA Arif

    SMOKES lets go

  • at like 1:10 arif just yells out... USA lmfao

  • do enjoy having you own bed everynight dime? good food everyday? spending half your day in a van or a bus? might sound easy... try it... i dare ya?

  • Oh it's so hard to tour.............

  • maylene and the sons of disaster? they have 3 guitars

  • what band did arif say his favorite was?

  • oreskaband

  • I hope he was kidding

  • they were talking about whitechapel...

  • There is no way that Whitechapel would ever play Warped Tour.

All the faggot scene kids would break in half.

  • I actually saw Whitechapel at the never say die! tour(which I attended only for pth) and although I'm no faggot scene kid I was close to breaking in half just because they were so fantastically boring..way to waste three guitarists

  • i think whitechapel is amazing and it doesnt make you a scene kid for liking something through your own free will but yeah you probably just dont understand the composition of the songs or even the reason why they have three guitar (for rythem during harmonies)

  • Harmonic content is actually strictly notes and not rhythm. A harmony is actually a counterpoint of the melody and is played over the melody; without the melody a harmony can't exist. Without it's context there is nothing to "harmonize," and it's just a strange-sounding melody.

In short: a harmony is definitely not a rhythm.

  • definately not. A melody can be described as the 'tune". Of course, this is not always the case, as the definitions of musical terms has changed over the years.

A harmony is what has over the years and with the developments of rock/metal can be described the accompaniment. Historically, harmony was developed to create what we know as chords. It took years and years for people like Palestrina and early Bach to create a system that is still widely used today by people of all genres.

  • haha true man!! they would blow some brains!!

  • no they werent whitechapel playing at the warped tour is like michael jackson going to a strip club although it would be funny to see its never gonna happen

  • Its funny becasues hes dead :p

  • who's dead?

  • lol xD

  • I'm 37.

    And I'm thirteeeen.

    Ha. Arif is awesome.

  • I think the band they were talking about is Alesana because they have 3 guitarists lol.

  • yea, thts wat i was thinking....but they've come up with a few rly cool three person stuff tho..

  • haha josh is so funny

  • hahahha arif's def high, he always is lol.

  • So, does Arif hate Josh? or does Josh hate Arif?

  • lmao "that was easy"

  • haha I love Arif. "I'm 13"

  • protest owns terrace

  • Two different types of music broseph, don't compare them.

  • mmmhm

  • As soon as he said "few too many guitars...."

Alesana. They pissed me off to when I looked over and noticed. They're not skilled enough to take advantage of three guitars.

  • LOL i was trying to find the band that did that on wikipedia!!!

  • "That was easy" Lmfaoo that was frikkin awesome

  • haha..that Staples button was in my English class last year..."That was Easy"...haha

  • They are talking about Alesana, for the fact that tons of metal bands hate them, due to them have so many guitars and haveing a light pop sound

  • alesana *cough*.....

  • dude, the guys from evergreen terrace are even funnier if you ever have the chance to meet them in person

  • oh yes especially josh

  • WTF 2:29

  • (alesana sux)

  • lmmmfaooo and im 13!

  • And I'm... 13

  • There was a lot of weenie eaters on this tour.

  • its not maylene, cause they weren't on this warped tour. I guess its alesana. they are fucking terrible so w/e.

  • maylene were on the tour but they werent talking about them because i actually watched maylene with one of the guys from evergreen terrace

  • he's either talking about alesana or maylene and the sons of disaster

  • arif is talking about alesana

  • The fully down lmao mad burn on that band love arif. haha

  • Lacks in stage skills? haha this guy has a lot of charisma. He cracks me up as well.

  • I love Arif, for what he lacks in stage presence he makes up for sick skills and technical ability. Oh how I envy him. Hoping to get some Protest the Hero covers up on here soon. :)

  • He used to have so much stage presence =/

It's kind of a upsetting that he stopped moving like a maniac. Watch some of their old videos. They're awesome.

  • Thing is he's became so talented at bass. In their old stuff there wasn't much for him to do so he got to jump around. Give a little get a little, you know?

  • I don't know man. The new songs are definitely more complex musically, but look at him play something like "Nautical" live. Still a pretty crazy bass part, and he still goes pretty crazy. Ah, it's all good though. I still love them all more than I should love anything. Ever.

  • When kezia was out arif was amazing. He always made funny faces and he was more enjoyable to watch than the others in my opinion. But yeah now the music`s gotten more challenging and they`re getting tired of touring so they`re not as energetic :P

  • shit, im subscribed to you, good comment, arif is still awesome. i loved sequoia throne vid, (arif's bow and arrow)

  • LMFAO XD

  • hahahahah oreskaband is ill

  • LOL "USA!"

  • I'm 37.

    And i'm...13

  • I'm 37.

    And i'm...13

    HAHA

  • with the whole 3 guitars thing, the new band 'year one' has 3 guitars now.. thats another one they might be talking about, and there also close to evergreen terrace.

  • So..is his name pronouned "R-F" ? I thought it was "R-IF"

  • His surname is pretty crazy- Mirabdolbaghi, I'm part arab and you pronounce the entire thing as 'R-F Mee-Rarb-doll-Barggy/Baggy'

  • You know Arif is not Arab right?

  • He's Canadian technically but His descent is middle eastern, hence the name.

  • Ya, while talking to him on Sunday I found out he was Persian (born in Canada as you said). For the longest time I had it in my mind he was Egyptian???

  • Sorry, but persia doesn't exist its an old empire that turned into most of the Middle easteren countries and remember 'ARAB' is a race, like being White or Black, being persian which is iranian or egyptian or pakistani means that you're arab.

  • I thought he was, but then he specifically told me he was not. I know that Persia became Iran, though I still hear most Iranians that I know call themselves Persian. I certainly do not know enough about that part of the world in general to say much about it, so I just took his word for it when he said he wasn't. Sorry if I offended you, didn't mean any harm.

  • Ya it's cool, it doesn't really matter, it shouldn't- What we both can agree is that Arif is an awesome bassist and lyricist!!protest forever. P.S half my family who are iranian don't like the term persian because of the false representation of them in history...

  • Yess we can! Working with him on my music was AMAZING! Definitely a drive forward for my guitar work as it's forcing me to up my game and partially rewrite the song (for the better) :]

    I see, sorry then!

  • iranian arent arab, they r aryan. im iranian too, but i say persian.

  • I'm not using "ARAB" as the UAE, I'm using it as the generic term for middle eastern people sorry!, Persian is a very outdated term and was quite derogetory durng the crusades, but I'm of Mixed race so i don't really use the term.

  • ..... aryan...... no. just no. maybe a little greek from when alexander the great was there but not aryan

  • i think the new human abstract album isint as good as expected but its still really good

  • The only band I can think of that he is talking about is The Human Abstract. And yes, their new album is a homunculus drab of disappointment.

  • Maybe they never really said. I think you might be right though. Could it be TDWP?

    Video Matt:-P

  • nah its def not TDWP, i think its alesana

  • yeah it wouldn't be human abstract because protest and them have supported eachother

  • lol i think theyre talking about alesana

  • yea i think it is alesana

  • deff alesana

  • why would they be making fun of the human abstract, pth and them are buds... not tdwp because they only go 2 guitars.. probably alesana because common... 3 guitars, is it really even needed?

  • Maylene and alesana are the only bands that come to mind who have 3 guitars, im not sure if maylene still does because of that whole new members thing(I didnt even know about it until recently).

  • maylene only has 2 guitars now after they all quit

  • Alesana is probably who he is talking about because they aren't good at all-period!!

  • Thanks for stopping by

    Video Matt:-P
