Ughh.They completely butchered that film.M Night Shyamalan should be ashamed...First of all, the majority of the characters are NOT Indian and Sokka and Katara are NOT Caucasian.As Shyamalan portrays them.And I understand that he himself is Indian.I know he wanted to commemorate his culture but please stick to the animated series for the fans' sake.Although he did do a good job of casting Aang.He also makes it seem as though Firebending is not possible without any source of Fire.EPIC FAIL!!!

The Last Airbender sucked. I loved the cartoon and was looking forward to the movie, but it was so lame. No comic relief in it, bad acting, characters didn't look much like they did in the cartoon, bit hard to follow (especially if you hadn't watched the cartoon), and they left out a couple major characters. If you haven't watched it yet, then don't waste your time.

in the movie all the air nomads are mixed because M Night thought noah looked mixed when he saw him. norther water tribe is white, southern tribe is inuit except for sokka and katara xP. fire nation is Middle eastern, Meditteranean & South Asian. The Earth Kingdom is mostly East Asian but I saw black people. maybe an Earth character (Not toph or suki) will be black.

I'm a dedicated fan of the animated series and the books, and the movie blew chunks. It was a sick hollywoodized attempt. I had to go back and re-watch the animated series to get the bad memories out of my head. The only character that was decently cast was Zuko, and he over played his character.
