The song broke the madness of the sixties and early 70s a bit...very helpful to have them call us to our truer hearts! Although the breakthroughs were exciting and often helpful, they could get downright unnatural and exhausting, and so the lyrics and tune here saved the day! :-D The first time I heart it was one evening after supper on tv - I remember looking at my husband and smiling with relief and delight. Wild days!

Chuck Negron was the voice of the group. He blew $40 million dollars up his nose!! One thing I love about 3 Dog Night was their arrangements which had a circus feel to them with a hint of an old caliaspe to them.
