  • I went to see Chuck Negron who has been touring alone (shame!). We were late and I was really pissed off, but arrived just in time to hear this song. Made my night. Thanks Chuck for not opening with this gem!

  • great song great band thanks for letting us enjoy it to.

  • @unclebill2100 Thanks for writing, much appreciated. david

  • Thanx 4 NOT putting the Lyrics throu Pics.....Great VID.....

  • @mykmuzyka Thanks, it took a little effort, but I think it came out better that way. regards, david (from my active channel)

  • THE ROTARY SPEAKER ON THE GUITAR !

  • took this late bloomer to find just the right partner and I am glad I waited

  • OMG...... I am so obsessed with this song! This tune its unique and incomparable....

I could listen to it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again 0:15 to 0:21...... What else could I tell you?

  • The song broke the madness of the sixties and early 70s a bit...very helpful to have them call us to our truer hearts! Although the breakthroughs were exciting and often helpful, they could get downright unnatural and exhausting, and so the lyrics and tune here saved the day! :-D The first time I heart it was one evening after supper on tv - I remember looking at my husband and smiling with relief and delight. Wild days!

  • Love this old song...back to high school...so happy I found this!! Thank you

  • I rember Paul Williams from Smokey and the Bandit, funny guy!

  • DE HECHO ESTA MUSICA ME AVIENTA A MI ADOLESCENCIA...15..16..17...QUIZA NO OS 18...

  • whats the guy with the moustache called ?

  • If this song is over 40 years old then why do people still listen to it?

  • @MoPar7055 It's good, you pansy ass. I'm fucking two years old and I love this shit.

  • @2Dchan There has been new music since then, and you're two years old?

  • @jmaxcamp A pleasure, thanks for writing. david

  • Google search Mobile Audit Club for proofs of the ongoing american holocaust with travel warnings and traps revealed. Mobile Audit Club

  • Few tunes move me like this one. Everything about this tune and performance is right.

  • When the singer sings, 'Just an old song', reminds me of Paul Willams' voice, himself.

  • Just got my front row center seats to see Three Dog Night, April 1st, 2012 in Lancaster, Pa. Only regret is Chuck won't be there too

  • I love this song!

  • any handsome boy graduates out there?

  • I was probably 5 years old hearing this on AM radio, I lived near a town called Harmony, This has always struck a cord with me .PEACE

  • Chuck Negron was the voice of the group. He blew $40 million dollars up his nose!! One thing I love about 3 Dog Night was their arrangements which had a circus feel to them with a hint of an old caliaspe to them.

  • The first album I ever bought and I bought it because of this song.

  • Of all pop tunes this one is "THE" classic. Everything about this tune is amazing.

  • I saw an older movie over the Summer, Paul Williams was in it playing a tough guy criminal/mobster boss. Type Casting!!! Yeah!! right!!!

  • Yeah, well, if you do research, you'll find out that Paul Williams wrote just about everything!!!!

  • another example of how Chuck negron was the voice of the group.

  • I've just listened to this song 3 times in a row. :)

  • whatever happened to that little short man?..haha (paul williams)

  • Probably the best 3 Dog song.

  • When I was 12.......hot................the original tribute band. 3 Dog Night...called that after the Aussie expression for a cold night.

  • @mldfl87 pretty sure it came from dog sleds. the people would keep their dogs around them for heat...

  • i like it

  • I just discovered this song yesterday... Got into the mood of listning to oldies radio. I wonder what people would do when they see a 17 yr old drivin down the road blasting this song? :) hehe

  • @kyelena2 good for you my friend

  • great song great harmonies! queen too!

  • Hadn't heard this song in forever! :D

  • love this. excellent quality. thanks for uploading!

  • Bad!

  • 1 asshole 281 good choice !

  • I first heard this when Elton John sang this on the Muppet Show

  • @i88player I don't think Elton John did 'old fashioned love song', I know for a fact that Paul Williams himself did in the first season of the show (its even in the related vids actually if your intrested in seeing it)

  • The quality of audio is very good! I am shocked and awweeed.

  • I miss Pat McCormack and Paul Williams comedy. When I first saw Penn and Teller I was reminded of Williams and MCormack.

  • Awesome spooky keyboard sound on this one...

  • I love this song. It reminds me of my childhood, of my grandmother that died when I was eight, for some reason. I could just sit with my eyes closed, listening to it all day.

  • Great Classic! Brings back so many memories, memories of my Senior year in High School. Feelings of being overjoyed with life, and what will be coming, but, went to someone else eventually. Still, I love those days and will never forget them.

  • Paul Williams outdid himself with this song.

  • @bama3417 That's my feeling also, I think it will be with us for decades to come, possibly more.

  • @classicvinylbiz For ETERNITY, m8...

  • @bama3417 Paul Williams and his partner Roger Nichols crafted so many epic hits in the 70's it's hard to keep track!

  • @bama3417 He really is forgotten as far as an amazing songwriter. I had a luck to catch him live a few years ago. The variety of songs and artists that he wrote for/with is really incredible.

  • Old fashioned love song that never gets old or less awsome

  • loved the laid back 70's

  • Great song.

    I still love it.

It sure brings back some wonderful 1970's memories.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • lol awww two of the fellas at 1:05 look like paul mccartney and george harrison. LOL

    :)

  • My first dance experience was to this song. I was in 7th grade and got invited to a Girl Scout Spring Dance by my "girlfriend" (so much different in those days than how things work these days). I was so excited to be her date, but found out shortly thereafter she had invited also one of my friends from our class. Still brings back wonderful memories of innocence lost.

  • Made me cry a lot

  • one idiot disliked this...

  • Another great tune from my mis-spent youth! lol Thanks for posting....Russ

  • @Mrmaxxy21 Me too! That was FAB-U-LOUS! Oi! They just don't write 'em like that anymore.
