  • I love how the sound absorption sheets make this guy into a drum god...

  • i like the part where theres a stupid video

  • Wow!! love not playing the same beat. Retard.

  • i can still hear some reverb on it after the treatment but it's still a big improvement though

  • Heyy, my name is noel im 16 from ireland. I am getting a new drum kit for christmas and i was to soundproof my bedroom. I used to have drums but i had to get rid of them because my parents wouldnt let me play them because they were way too loud and also the neighbours were complaining. So i was wondering would this absorb all of the sound from getting outside the room? Would the neighbours or my parents complain?? Please reply. Thanks :)

  • wanna give me a job... jaja, i'm an acoustics major...

  • @UrbanMoFo773 Let's discuss! I saw your page, looks like your located in Chicago? Message me some details about yourself and I'll be more than happy to pass this along to our VP!

  • What is the thickness of the absorption sheets used in this demonstration? How many layers of sheets are there? Thanks.

  • @catlips They are .5" thick. In this room, it's just one single layer, but it's recommended to use two layers as it helps control the sound better. Please contact me should you have other questions!

  • Wouldn't old quilted blankets have the same effect?

  • @llarose They may help reduce maybe 10% of the sound, but there is no NRC rating with quilted blankets. There is a huge difference in the sound quality in our sheets vs quilted blankets. I'd be happy to help you along with your application should you chat or call! Thanks - Mallory

  • would it be possible to soundproof my roomm in my apartment so i dont piss of the neighbors. I need to record drums so i need a solution

  • @666kevbo Hey! Well.. you can't really soundproof the room. You can add the Absorption sheets like Mitch did in the video to take the noise level down substantially. Try them out. We have a promo offering now on our site! 25off for the charcoal sheets. Sale ends tomorrow!

  • What technaically is "soundproofing?" Does it make drums and instrumentts sound better/quieter inside the room? or does it make it quieter for everyone outside the room.

  • @RA710 Hey! Soundproofing is SO technical, yet so generic. It all depends on what you're trying to accomplish in your room. It will make a room sound better and create clarity! It can also reduce the sound pressure from room to room. Let's discuss further if you want to call! Or feel free to chat with us on the web.

  • @RA710 its when you stick up a bunch of egg cartons in a room and jack off to them and if nobody can hear you well it works haha

  • this is soo bias... you play so much faster/better in the absorbed room

  • It seems like the sheets make you play better too. Maybe it was just that little boost of confidence of having a better sounding room that made him play better.

  • do I have to cover all the walls with absorbtion sheets? we want to stop the sound reverberation in our practice space, which is long, tall, and spacious. would a few absorption sheets on the long sides be enough?

  • Make sure you cover all hard surface areas. Notice, that Mitch's room is just for his drums. See if you can designate a room just for your drums or whatever you are practicing with! Happy to be of service!

  • dont be so obvious with your dull beat/exciting beat man

  • smok'n drum!

  • k so these block sound AND make you better at drums???

    im in

  • these does not block sound to neighbours etc.

  • they act like sound dampeners right? reduce echo and stuff?

  • yes, but they do not tell which frequensies it dampensfrom what i have seen.

You normally need something which works in the bass aswell as mid, high freq.

  • edit, sawthat they state thefrequensies in a post below, it works on high and mid frequensy

you ought to throw in some basstraps aswell...

  • Audimute is geared for mid and high range frequencies, but does not block sound. Bass Traps will also enable musicians to clearly hear their music in incredible detail because these capture lower end frequencies in the corner. Check out some of the other vids or give us a call. Happy to be of service!

  • @audimutedemos, would you recommend putting some of these sheets on the ceiling, if possible, so as to stop sound getting through the ceiling to upper floors as well as on the walls?

  • Sure! Just use a staple gun or nail gun. This will help the 'bounce back' reaction of mid and high range frequencies.

    Hope this helps!

  • @21ricky666 lol

  • he should have played the same stuff in both rooms... so you can compare best

  • I'm in a New York apt. & get a lot of noise from the neighbors. The wall separating their living room and my bedroom is the problem. I get bolted out of sleep when they start moving around furniture between 3-6 AM. I can feel my mattress vibrating from the noise. There is also loud talking. Will the blankets help? The wall is about 22 ft. long, and a 6.5 ft. closet juts out from the wall. Ceiling is 105" high, almost 9ft. How many would you recommend? Thanks!

  • Audimute Sound Absorption Sheets will not reduce any of the vibrations, they are strictly for Mid and High range frequencies and result in a 60% reduction of loudness. However, Peacemaker 6.4mm and or 3.2mm will help reduce the reverberation of the furniture moving. Why don't you give us a call or chat with us on the web. I will help you with your application to the best of my knowledge. I have worked with MANY New York apartments, as well as world wide.

  • Would you suggest buying this for my 11 by 18 foot room? I use the room for jamming with a drummer, bassist, keyboardist and gutiarist/vocalist. I also like to do some simple demos in there. The room comes out to be 195 square feet of wall space. Please tell me what you think. I am very interested in buying based on what you say. Please note that i dont have much money and prob cant spend more than 200 bucks.

  • If you are on a tight budget, you came to the right place! Audimute Sound Absorption Sheets will work exceptionally well by canceling mid and high range frequencies by as much as 60%!

About 6-8 Sheets run you about $160, free shipping! Call us and we'll discuss!

  • he gets better when he is in that padded room

  • Yea I also noticed that.

  • LOL The drumming in the first video was drab and the drumming in the second was livley and awake :P An otherwise fantastic advertising technique but I have this problem of playing well when the noise depresses me lol, But how much is it going to cost me to get a 7x11 room fitted? and how can I make it look like its not had a load of duvets pinned up? Also whats the postage to england?

  • Hi! Thanks for the feedback. Well, for that size of a room, I'd recommend about 12 Audimute Sound Absorption Sheets running at about $300. You can simply cover them with a air permeable fabric of some sort. Shipping to England can be quite costly. For more information, visit us on our website!

  • am booking you for my wedding

  • Haha, that's awesome! We'll work out details soon! Give us a call anytime. 866 505 6883 LOL

  • Thank you very much for accepting me as a friend =) What if i put several layers of Audimute Sound Absorption Sheets on two walls? would that be any better or not really? I'm going to order your Peacemaker sometime during these next few weeks, and buy a carpet to put over it, I would call but i think your in America, Correct? I'm in Portugal, A bit expensive..Thank you very much for all your help! =)

    James.

  • Damn, I just painted my walls black with a big heartagram (my favouite band logo) and also painted "H.I.M" really big (name o that band) And now i see this...I don't really want to cover the paintjob...=/ Any other solutions? Probably not, But worth asking...

  • Sorry to hear that. There's really nothing you can do if you just painted that area. It's a tough choice, but maybe place some Peacemaker on the floor, followed by a few area rugs or carpet to control the lower end sounds and vibrations. Give me a call. I'm happy to help.

  • Ok, What if..there are 4 walls, if i put the sheets on two of them, on two walls facing each other, And put some Peacemaker on the floor with a carpet or rug like you said, Would that help? or is there no point putting the sheets on just two opposite walls? Thank you very much for answering =)

  • First off, we just accepted your friend request. Thank you! Secondly, I would cover as much area as you can with our Audimute Sound Absorption Sheets to get the most effective results. I don't think just two sheets in a room with four walls will really help dampen the mid and high range frequencies. Also, Peacemaker can be placed on your existing floors followed by carpet or rugs. Hope this helps. Call or message anytime. We're here to help. 866 505 6883

  • I will be getting a drumset soon! It will be in my bedroom, but I am worried about the sound transmission through the walls and floor. The walls are connected to other family members' rooms.

My only problem is that I CAN NOT install the peacemakers inside the walls. My family won't let me tear down walls and such. Can the peacemakers be applied to the walls directly? And then if I cover them with the audimute sheets, will it still be effective? Or do I absolutely have to put them on drywall?

  • Mate, not only a seemingly great product but a bad ass drum soloist to boot!

  • hey if the audimute sheets are .97 per sq ft then how long would it be for the one long sheet i just order thats 40.00 dollars?

  • One Long Audimute Sound Absorption sheet is $50. The Short (6.5x3.75) is $40.

I'm not sure if I understand your question.. email me or give us a call! I'm happy to help.

  • Hello, very impressive video, I've ordered 21 long blankets for my future room. I will also add bass traps/acoustic panel at the same time. do you think it's the good approach treating a room (blanket + bass traps ) ?

    thanks

  • Thanks for your message. Audimute Bass Traps capture low frequency sound to acoustically tune a room. ace in room corners for best absorption.

Many acoustic tube traps and bass traps are made of fiberglass, mineral wool, and other harmful, unnatural materials. Audimutes Bass Traps are made of only natural, eco-friendly sound absorbing materials. As more bass traps are added, the low end frequencies become tighter sounding, improving the listening environment. Call anytime. 866 505 6883

  • Hi, i really like your product. But does it come in other colors??

  • Thanks! No, it only comes in white. If you are concerned about the color, try using an air-permeable fabric such as cotton or polyester and cover the Audimute Sound Absorption Sheets. This gives it a nice decorative look! Please call for more information or visit our website!

  • air permeable. ?

  • Yes a fabric that lets air pass through. Vinyl or something similar is an example of a material that is not air permeable.

  • yer it would be like a basement but i got to build it haha. becouse i want minimal sound leaving this room i thought that the foam bed mats would be good then like in the video of the guy hoo does his own recordings for podcasts or somthing hang them like he does. and i wnted to just put a black curtan in front of them coz i want the room to black

    harry

  • Ideally you'll want to put sound isolation material to stop sound from escaping the room. You can put our Peacemaker material up, a layer of drywall, the absorption sheets on the wall and lastly your black curtain. Remember the black curtain must be air permeable.

  • ey i play drums and want to makea band room under my house. i am going to dig out the dirt and build a brick room probly 4m by 5 or 6 mi was thinking of puting the egg foam for beds on the walls then hang these mats away from the walls and for a different look then hang black curtans infront of that i then want to put proper sound proof tiles on the roof becouse directly above me is my brothers room would this be a good idea to elimenate sound? plz any answer would be apricated

    Harry

  • Hi Harry,

I'm not sure what you mean by making a band room under the house. Do you mean basement? I wouldn't recommend placing anything over our Audimute Sound Absorption sheets as it would defeat the purpose of having a portable absorber. However, many of our customers have used air-permeable curtains or bedding and hung them directly over them to give them an aesthetic look to Audimute Sheets. Feel free to call anytime, Chat with us on the web, or email! 866 505 6883

  • Harry,

I also wanted to mention that the egg crates are not the best absorption product out there. They are NOT portable, they adhere to the wall semi-permanent. If you're looking for something more portable, our Audimute Sheets are the way to go! Feel free to call the number below or email me anytime. I'm happy to discuss further!

  • I play drums as well, in my garage & its LOUD. We're ordering the sheets soon, my question is, will I be able to hang things on my walls, like framed posters and my guitar? Or are you destined to have a "padded cell" look once you get these?

  • You shouldn't hang posters or your guitar over any of the sheets.. it would basically defeat the purpose of having them. You want them to be exposed to the sound source as best as you can. Let me know I can be of better service.. call me if you wish to discuss more or visit our website. 866 505 6883. Thanks!

  • I'm interested in this. How about a video showing the sound bleed from outside of the room?

  • Stay Tuned! We'll implement more videos very shortly!!

    866 505 6883

  • Agreed.

  • maybe a platform also i can build that can cushin the sound from the floor

  • We have those! Call for more details. I will be happy to inform you more about our Sonipads.

Please visit our website at audimutesoundproofing. Thanks.

  • i live in an apartment building i just moved into ..and i havent been able to play my drums ..go figure ..i wanna know if there is a product i can put on my walls that will stop all sound from leaving the room

  • It will not stop ALL sounds, but the nuisance frequencies (mid and high) will be eliminated up to 60%. Visit our website for more details. Maybe our Peacemaker will work better if you are able to alter the walls. Call to discuss 866 505 6883

  • and why is your freight cost so expensive? 500 bucks just to ship. its really damn expensive here.

  • Where are you located? Please call so I can assist you better. Thanks!

  • hi sorry to bother u again. if i simply use the 2mm sheets in 20pieces for the floor, then i add a thick carpet over it and my drums over the carpet. will that be enough?

  • also, u mentioned in the website for the panels this "Audimute acoustic sound panels reduce volume levels by as much as 60% (if the space is properly treated)"

what does it mean if the space is properly treated? does putting up the 2 layers of sound absorbtion count as a proper treatment?

cuz i was thinking of getting the panels too.

  • Double layer Audimute Sheets are the way to properly treat a room. It will absorb most, if not all of the mid and high range frequencies. Panels are wonderful. They add aesthetics to a room if you were looking towards that route. Thanks again.

  • so how many layers is recommended for the sound absorbtion sheets? is 2 layers enough?

  • Two layers is sufficient!

  • i see, Hey, thanks for all the help! =) btw, whats the 6.4mm layer product called?

  • You're very welcome! It's my pleasure =)

    Peacemaker 6.4mm Anti-Vibration! Thanks!

  • also, shd i get the sound absorbtion sheets or the sound absorbting panels? which will work better for mid- high ranger freq? cuz i was thinking that those panels are muchnicer looking than just hanging those sheets. please advise. thanks

  • The panels are definitely more aesthetically pleasing than the sheets. Whichever you prefer! The sheets are bigger of course but has a lower NRC rating of .70 which is still pretty great. Our panels offer a NRC rating of 1.15, but only available in 2x2, 2x3, 2x4, etc. as well as a custom size of your choice! Thanks again!

  • but those sonipads are only designed for amps and subwoofers, not for a complete drumset. is there another way?

  • Sonipads can be used for either purpose. I have had plenty of customers purchase 6-8 Sonipads to keep the vibration controlled and to not disturb the neighbors. You may also use Peacemaker 2mm, rolled directly on the floor itself then add two layers of 6.4mm, another anti vibration product of ours, you will hear a noticeable difference. Please visit our website for more details! Thanks!

  • i see. so low end frequencies are pretty much considered tolerable right? cuz i was thinking of playing a thick layer of carpet below my drum set. will that help? i would call u if i could, but i dont live in the usa. haha. im halfway across the world in fact, in asia

  • I would take a look at my website audimutesoundproofing and look at our Sonipads that are great for underneath your drum set. It cancels the low ends as well as mid and high range. Take a look. We ship to your country too!

  • i see. how much cancellation can just one layer of that sheet perform? im not sure if its enough if i just get the those sound absorption sheets and i carpet the area my drum set sits on.

  • You will achieve up to 60% reduction of the mid and high range frequencies. You will still hear the low ends, but at least the nuisance frequencies will be diminished. Call us, I am happy to help! 866 505 6883

  • hi. i play the drums and im going to buy a drumset soon. i have a neighbour beside me and one other below me. what should i do? will applying this sound absorbtion material help? do i also need to install a layer of sound INSULATION also? i hope you'll be able to help me on this. thanks.

  • Insulation will definitely enhance the performance as well as discard those low end frequencies. It is best to place between the studs of the drywall, however it looks like you are in an apartment. I would place Peacemaker directly on the wall and then double layer Audimute Sheets to cancel those mid and high range frequencies by as much as 60%. Please call! I look forward to serving you. 866 505 6883

  • this video is cool and aLAL BUT would it be a possability to see a video of what it sounds like from the outside of the room or around the house. cus my aunt vickie is ACTUALLY going to move out because she thinks its to loud when shes waatching CSI: Miami

  • Thanks for your suggestion. Stay tuned.. I'm sure we'll have something available shortly! Thanks

  • Thank you very much if its bettr than the grabage i have now i will deffinetly buy some. (Mostly anything is better than the green stuff i have now

  • Glad to help! Add me as your friend!

  • Hi, thank you very much for this video!

Do you have a seller/agent in Finland? or do you at least ship there?

  • Of course! Please visit our website at audimutesoundproofing. We ship via IShopUSA for all of our customers overseas. Hope to serve you soon!

  • will this work on sound proofing a home stereo equipment? I have a dvd audio player would that make the sound any better? Jesus loves you

  • Thanks! Absolutely. Depending on the size of your room, you can easily hang our Audimute Sheets along the room to create a distinct sound from your dvd audio player. Please call us to discuss further! I will be happy to help.

    866 505 6883

  • Thanks for viewing!! We are in the midst of gathering new videos to post on here so stay tuned! Up to 60% of the sound will be reduced (mid and high range frequencies only). Please call so we can discuss further. Thanks! 866 505 6883

  • thanks many for this video !!! but can you do a video recording VOCALS and show us how much sound audimute stops from disturbing others ..i wanna buy some absortion sheets but i just need to know how much vocal reduction these sheets can deliver
