  • does anyone know the name of the song before the bubble bobble theme has started? to about 1 minute in.

  • Wtf is happening to the music at 5:17 ???

  • CAKE

  • i have play this game in a Pup and i was 8 years old^^

  • i loved this game so much!!

  • Great vid, loved this game as a kid. Could never finish this tho. Watching this make me wish i'd kept my old console

  • Amiga 1200 was a 24bit colour system with a 32 Bit Data Bus and came out in 1992. It beat the piss out of anything else at that time but sadly was poorly managed by Commodore :( I have one. I used software to grab my A1200's ROM to use on an Amiga Emulator for the PC :D Legal if you own a A1200 as you already paid for the license for the ROM.

What I dont understand is WHAT has BRITISH TELECOM got to do with a computer game ?????????????????

  • I know the names bracketed for the dragons are the persons playing them, but for some reason I cant help but think its added to make the dragons seem more cool on their own :p

  • the sound-editing is awful and you play like noobs :)

  • My sisters and I used to play this game all the time after school!!! I miss this game, I hope there is a re-release version of this game for the Wii or something. Thank you for the upload!

  • @ChinaGirlDoll also the Green Dino...what's going on with that, seems the player is just getting carried after level 3 and on level 71 . . . -_- . . . he just stands there... lol geez

  • The green sucks hard

  • they were the days

  • Who are you and what have you done with the REAL Bubble Bobble?!

  • HI Steven Bonnell

  • best two player game eva

  • I once reached level 100, but then was gone immediately. ^^

  • I never finished this game!

so i well try it again :)

  • great vid. lol at screens 71 and 72. why did they have to mess up the screen layout for this amiga version though?

  • I always loved this game, although many of my friends grew to hate me even suggest playing it I was that obsessed. I remember when me and another good female player got all the way to level 92 (without cheating, but we did get lucky with those roll over umbrella bonuses), and then the monsters got stuck in the lettering at the top of the screen and no matter how much we bounced on bubbles we couldn't get up to them it was like ... arrrgggghhhh!!! So near and yet so far!

  • Man, this game brings so much good memories from my childhood, I used to play this game in 2 with my sis, best game.

  • I can see that the NES version had some of the levels based off of the enemies. I wonder if they thought it would up the challenge a bit for that, or did this system come first?

  • Was the AMIGA a better system than the NES? What year was it out? I remember them joking about The Amiga on a MST3K episode during the debate between Apple and Windows. So as I type this I'm thinking Amiga was a computer so of course it would look better than NES back then.

  • @hootyhaha

Yes it was a 16bit system, but im sure wikipedia will answer all this :)

  • @cubex55 I dont trust Wikipedia with all the trouble it's been in , and how easy it is to put info on there from just anyone. I'd rather ask people like you with the source footage :)

  • @hootyhaha No read the wikipedia page. Its correct.

Theres no such thing as "not trusting" wikipedia. You can view the discussion on editing, past edits and also everything must be referenced from a factual website or it is removed.

Its stupid not to use wikipedia.

  • @bobbystar101 Wikipedia has been in the news several times for being in trouble over false information. Nuff said. I don't trust it. Anybody like us can get on there and post anything. True it can be taken down, but how long is it up before somebody corrects the mistake and all sorts of trusting people like you read it? I'll not say I wont ever use it, but I always go to other sources as well. Like X-entertainment dawt cawm, or asking multiple tech boards.

  • @hootyhaha Thats just stupid.

You can tell when a wikipedia page is accurate because the information on it will be referenced to trustworthy websites. Nuff said. Sure, anyone can modify it and so on; but if it has had false information put on then is its glaringly obvious that has happened because THE REFERENCES WOULD SHOW IT.

Wikipedia is the best place to find information because of that. Nuff said.

Also asking stupid questions instead of doing a little research just annoys people. Nuff said..

  • @hootyhaha By the way I have checked and the wikipedia pages on NES and Amiga are both correct. If you want to check the references when you read a fact there will be a number next to it. Check the bottom of the page with the references -

    en. wikipedia . org/wiki/Amiga#References

  • @bobbystar101 GO AWAY TEENAGER! I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR OBSESSION WITH WIKI! Dang!

  • @hootyhaha Oh my god. It saves people like you asking blatantly retarded questions if you go to wikipedia go to the bottom of the page to references and there will be like 50 odd reputable pages telling you the answer. The fake information isn't referenced at the bottom because its fake.

You can use google and take half an hour finding the same list of sites you find on wikipedia if you want...

  • Comment removed

  • @hootyhaha lol not really.

You just need learn how to research.

The reason I kept replying is that you seemed to keep missing the point and just constantly re-quoting "wikipedia has been in the news"

Since I was telling you how it is possible to tell if a page is false and so use wikipedia for reliable information resulting in saving peoples time, that was an irrelevant response :/

Use your initiative some old man...

  • @bobbystar101 I like the movie SNATCH with Brad Pitt in it. It's funny, makes me laugh. I also like the movie Big Trouble that has the same amount of chaos and confusion all throughout it along with Seth Green.

  • @bobbystar101 OMG right!? Bobby, obsess much? Wiki is not the know all, be all to all things people need to know. Chill out with your annoyance.

  • @bobbystar101 LOL! Bobbystar I have to agree. You're a bit obsessed. Been reading these comments. Do you own stock in Wiki or something? I don't trust the site either. Once somebody has corrected the site several times then info might be correct, but how many times will people have to correct info? By the way, there is more info that is wrong on there than just video game info. More important info has been totally wrong, and they have been sued. I have seen news stories on that, more than one.

  • @texformer Oh my god. It saves people like you asking stupid questions if you go to wikipedia go to the bottom of the page to references and there will be like 50 odd pages telling you the answer. The fake information isn't referenced at the bottom because its fake.

  • @bobbystar101 Bobbystar has to use Wiki for his information and he can't see the comedy in him calling other people stupid. That's funny. What makes you think the references are any more trustworthy than the false information on a document that can be edited by some young hyper irritated person such as yourself? If somebody put that Snuffalupugus was real, then put a ref to the seseme street website saying he was real, would you believe it?

  • @texformer Well that wouldn't be a reputable reference would it.

Your example of that kind of proves my point as you display the ability to recognise what is and isn't reputable.

I certainly wouldn't advise anyone lacking the mental faculties to make that judgement to use wikipedia.

I don't have to use wiki, I could go to a library, use google, order literature containing primary or secondary evidence etc but it's less convenient so unless I have to I don't. That's not stupid, that's initiative.

  • @cubex55 The Amiga was a computer that was generally unavailable in the US

  • @hootyhaha It even was superior than the SNES in most cases !

Check out Stardust, a amazing Amiga game.

  • @hootyhaha

Amiga was in terms of Hardware a better system but in terms of Games it is arguable if you compare Amiga games to NES Games. Some say NES had alot of Memorable and good games and others say the same about AMIGA. AMIGA Computers were famous and as far as i have read the AMIGA computers were still used by the NASA up until 2004.

  • Fear it!!! I remember playing with my cousin and got to the last level one long friday night @_@

  • wow ive grown up with this :( played this with 7-8 y and now im 19 and still miss how i played it with my dad and my uncle .. argh :(

  • LOL at 01:14

  • who never played this game

is because never was a child :)

  • Taito please make a HD remake, include the arcade original and bring it to PSN, XBLA and Steam ;)

  • I love this game - I often playd this one with my father in the past - nice game, really

  • This IS the best version of this game! Anyone saying that C64 or Atari ST is better have not played them. Graphics sucks on C64 and the sound of the SID-chip is like SQUEEIHIHXZ!

  • Another garbage arcade port for Amiga.

  • There was a game that looked ALOT like this, just with 2 small guys with umbrellas xD also for the amiga.. Used to play it so much..

  • @PureDanceFTW

    Parasol stars...;)

  • @busterflex

God damn dude xD been looking for it for so long o_O ty xD!

  • Perdieron vidas de las maneras más chistosas

They Loosed Lives on jokings manners.

    Jjejejejeee

  • If u get to level 20 without losing a life there is a magical door that appears which leads to a secret room of diamonds. If u get to level 30 and havent died yet the doors appears again. At level 40 and u havent died yet the door appears again, And if u can make it to level 50 without losing a life u get a special magic door that skips 20 levels for you :D At level 80, if u havent died yet, there is no door. At level 90 i dont know cos i died once b4 then but i imagine there is no door :P

  • Round 71 was the most depressing fail I've seen in a long time. Other than that, nice video!

  • I'm going to have this music in my head all night now. Cheers this has brought some great memories of running round a friends house after school to play it on the amiga.

  • nice game. the C64 version is better but this one is good too, even if its an ST port.

it could have been arcade perfect.

  • how do you make an hour vid?

  • Read our channel FAQ :)

  • Comment removed

  • Music in bubble bobble (Amiga) has used to crackto of Amiga conversion of Outrun :P

  • BR10?

  • when you never die till round 50 yo get a ambrella that gets you 25levels forward )))

  • Where can i find this game?

  • Just about anywhere, Bubble Bobble is availble for most emulators just google man

  • If you manage to live to level 20, 40, 60, 80 without dying you'd would gaing access to a bonus level filled with diamonds.

I personaly manage to get to 97 so I never got to see what would happen if you got to lvl 100 without dying also.

  • nothing

  • @SodaDK

You went from lvl 1 to lvl 97 without dying??? Wow, you're really good at this game =)!

  • Yeah I know.

To be honest the game wasn't as hard on C-64 as it was in the Arcade version. I'm sure I'm not able to do the same today as back then.

  • demir ve ben bunu geceler boyu onuyorduk hey gidi eski günler hey özledim seni demir kardesin )))))

  • lol loved this game and the music as well!

  • So what's the official name for the Death Whale?

  • Baron von Blubba

  • Actually his official official name is Skel Monsta, he's not a whale but an undead monsta.

  • @cubex55 I recall the casting call in the NES version calling it Skel.

  • Me and my sister used to call him Baron Mufasa. No idea why.

  • hehe, i played this game with my sister also.. maybe the mufasa-name is from The lion king? although i doubt it, since this game is waaay older :)

  • The guys playing this suck.

  • This isn't a demonstration of skill.

  • 5/5 for the video

    3/5 for the conversion

  • @Tanas666 the ST graphics are as good as they could be. but the game mechanism and animation suffers. :(

  • played this years a go...

    lev. 1 , 5 10 15 20 , every bubble becomes fruit if u pop last beastbubble !!!

    MORE POINTS..

played it with my friend flawless lev.100

  • This one is weird. I grew up with the original NES version. It's weird, but yet, I like this one, too. Where can I play this?

  • Also, at 29:23 to 30:21, Level 57 looks nothing like the one from NES. On the NES version, Level 57 was the dreaded one that was very difficult to beat. That said, where are those Invader enemies that shoot lasers? Nevermind. I see them on Level 60. I asked the question before I saw them, lol.

  • The NES version is NOT the original ! Why do you say that ? The NES version is inaccurate Timeline: 1986 - Arcade version ( Original ) ' ' 1989 - Amiga version ( this version ) ' ' 1990 - NES version
  • Well, shoot. The NES version is the only one I remember growing up. How was I supposed to know it wasn't the original version? I'm not a video game expert. Jeez!

  • i realy want to play this game again, but i cannot find this version......

    help me please

  • freaking awesome how do u load an almost hour video omg !

  • I love this game, but the Amiga version had a lot of bugs in it... for example, if you notice well, when you get score from a fruit or from a power-up, the actual score is not updated correctly, it seems like the score is "limited"... for example, at 3:16 the P1 score is 37640, then P1 gets a banana (500pt) and the score becomes 38040 and not 38140 like it should be... and this happens in other part of the game too...

  • And the music at the very beginning...

  • Greatest game ever :D

  • omg flahback from diaper days :D i used to play this on amiga when i was just able to hold the controller. i have been playing the nes version lately but still i just remembered the amiga version :P

  • i wasted my school education mainly thanks to this sucker, but it was all worth it,i finished this game by myself, but i had to use 2 controllers and swap over joysticks

  • they didn't find the secrets and get the "real" ending

  • 1 HOUR ORANGEMAN

  • this game is nice, team work with competing for the higher score lol.

  • player 1 seems to be confused !!!

    o.O

  • @m80cluster lol and blue is great, a hero! :)

    Great video thank u guys

  • Love the happy end music... it sounds so remixy....

    ORANGES WHAT

  • lol first player is a noob! XDD

  • I can't stop thinking of dancing oranges when I listen to the music in this game.

  • que paso con la musica??

  • Sorry - no comprende! ;)

  • @cubex55

What happened to the music...;-) That's what he wanted to ask...

  • Sadly an Atari ST port running at 25fps. No blitter/copper/sprites used at all.

It could easily have been arcade perfect on the Amiga!

  • Atari ST Bubble Bobble

    should've been cancelled

    it didn't have the hardware

    for an arcade perfect port

  • @Mr123JasonLee for the ST powers this is a great conversion.

  • TUNES!!! my Amstad cpc 464 crashed on lvl 87 cleared it on the amiga, legend game

  • i remember on the commodore 64 version there used to be a door if you hadn't lost a life that took you far ahead, good times goods times ive bn smiling all the way through this thanks for putting it on

  • i remember that level 84 was insane hard hehe..

  • my amigas audio cable broke :'( :'( and i love the music

    D':

    sad times indeed..

  • Amiga version rulez!

  • I finished this game with a friend with 6 credits. we lost the 1st life in level 76.

BUBBLE BOBBLE ROXXXX!!! good old days

  • i was bored and did a techno remix of this tune, chucked some really hard distorted beats on it - oh yeh!

  • SHAKES HEAD, once again another inferior version of the game!!!!

  • Are you comparing it to the mame version?

  • Arcade/MAME version.... no im not actually cos there is no comparison!!!

  • No real versions are better than the original most times!

Amiga was a quite brilliant machine though. Many remakes of Amiga games are poor quality too.

Do you have a mame emulator? They are cool!

  • taito brought this game out in the arcades in 1986 40c 1 play 1$ 3plays.. All subsequent versions of the game ...c64,amiga, and the like didnt even come close to what the arcade was.

  • Oooooooo this gives me tears in my eyes... I remember sitting with my dad playing this game on my brand new A500 v1.2 for so many times when I was like 9-10 years old (30 now)....

This game was SO great =))

    Cheers!

  • What does the bad ending in the Amiga version of Bubble Bobble look like?

  • just a super drunk i guest.

  • Way cool! Watched it all. I have beat Bubble Bobble on just about ever platform that it was on. But not this one. And now I am off to track down a copy!

  • i like Bubble Bobble version of Amiga!

  • i like the NES

  • w bubble bobble!

  • it' s beautiful game!

  • mi paice!

  • 37:56 - finally!

  • its not as good on th ds as it was on th amiga, i thought i was doing bad only getting up to level 45 but its clear - you need two players

  • I bought the NES one from/for the Wii, it's pretty good.

  • I once had the real thing. =) Too bad I sold it and the NES years and years ago...

  • This is not the sound quality that most Amiga games had. Actually the Amiga had the best sound hardware of all systems, until about 1993.

Have a look at nTz5iwmtkrs for some awesome quality sounds directly from the Amiga.

  • word mate, at the era i really liked to play only on amiga due to it's sound hardware.

  • this is one of the greatest games in the world

  • Well you guys ROCKS.

  • player 2 has more skills

  • A very nice game with great soundtrack!

  • :'( *cries* :( D: my copy dont work D:

its looks well cute :D shall play qwak instead..

  • YAY! Bubble Bobble FTW! <3<3<3

  • lol

not the best in the world

    but ok

  • can play better myself, try not being so greedy e.g level 10.. wheres the 20 sheet skips ;-) .. theres tricks to every screen, to get FAR more points.. although a lot tougher playing it as 1 player.. ya need 2 really

  • this could be sped up....i like it though.

  • my grandmother play better then you guys :D but you did not do half bad

  • Baron von Blubba RULES!

  • Inseane ! :)

  • Round 71 slaughtered you guys :P

  • ha ha i use to play this game alll the time with my brother and friends... amazing game...

im getting an ipod touch soon and im going to jailbrake it and play this nes game all the time ha ha

    have you ever played

    battletoads?

    its awsome

  • lol =3

  • i had this on the atari st. its very similar. best in 2 player.

  • Was it really that easy? not fear to the enemies. Dieing time after time always came back. The green one, what were you doing??

  • NOW WAIT??

this video is almost 55 minutes long.

i thought when google took over youtube that the max time was 10 minutes on ANY video??

    did i miss something here??

  • Directors account

  • i dont see where it says "director", but o.k.

    cool

  • I heard somewhere that if you had an account before the time-limit thing was imposed, you can still put long vids up. Either that, or if the vid was up before it stays.. or something like that.

  • those were the days

  • Get the Umbrella!!! hehe.

    those were the days

  • Well played!

  • I thought them sucked! Dieing time after time. Why ain't in never game over for real?

  • Did you ever complete this game? it is harder than it looks! As for why no game over, I believe they were on their last continue when they completed it (i.e. and few more deaths would have been game over for good). i think so anyhow!

  • does the EXTEND just take you to the next level?

  • Doesn't that give you an extra life?

The umbrella advances you a level ot two.

  • OMG I freaking love the song so much in the beginning :) And the song all over the game, but the beginning is the best^^ Nostalgia!

  • i got it on my PS2 :D

loved it on my Amiga 500 :D:D

  • viva Bubble Bobble! lol

  • Taito Legends PS2, PC, Xbox

    arcade perfect Bubble Bobble

  • David Whittaker did the music for this version? I like his work.

  • lmao 35:17 to 37:17.

  • omg this is my most favourite game when i was relly little... i gotta get the system and this game again i LOVE it XD :D

  • amiga forever

  • this bubble bobble looks wayyyy to easy

  • Belive me, 1 special lvl is tough

  • Throw in the fact that you die just by touching an enemy before you bubble it. That makes it harder.

  • umm yea thats how bubble bobble is, i dint say bubble bobble was easy i said this one is. you can almost clear levels before the enemies even move, and the game play is a lot slower.

  • 54 mins! lol

  • This video does more for me than a houndred hours at the psychologer! I remember those days, when everything was so easy and, "bubbly bubbly".. Less wars and immigration, less crime, more harmony. Sigh.

  • Check your spelling. There no O in Hundred.

  • Lol, such funny player names for such adorable monsters. ^_^
