@hydrolito Designer dress, the materials, beading and sequins, the made to order inside which is measured to the body, and the time to sew it. Nicole Bobek wore dresses that were close to $3000 a piece. Kerrigan wore even more expensive ones.

@metsdudenj This particular dress might have expensive material but lacks beading and sequins so why does it cost $1000, a tailor and material shouldn't be that much, better have mom's go back to learning how to operate a sewing machine and patterns. My wife had her wedding dress made by friends and cost of their labor, materials, and pattern was $80, how come they charge so much for these and wedding dresses in stores? Are designers getting rich?

@hydrolito Well the materilal itself is expensive as it is a special nylon cotton spandex mix that often has a liner inside and elastic added, the designer name on it ( status is everything in skating) the time to make it,etc, of course it is way overpriced, but people are willing to pay. I say use an off the rack dress from Kohls...

She slipped on the takeoff of the lutz. Almost didn't make the rotation, but her tight rotation helped her make the combination. Her layback is the best!

wow, what an amazing performance for her! I stopped watching figure skating after the year 2000, but I would imagine that this is her best short program of all time; trademark for her.

I believe it is "Just For You." She used this short program for a while, debuting it in the 2000/2001 skating season. I think it's absolutely beautiful. That step sequence is something to behold! One of the prettiest I've ever seen.

I always watched her at Paramount Iceland when she was a preteen just doing triple after triple and winning every competition she entered. I also sat next to her mom at a couple of competitions her mom would always get frustrated because as she got older she would do all the triples in the warm up then double them in the competition. What an amazing talent that never recieved the sucess due.
