This movie was a complete waste of time in my opinion. I was expecting something much more poignant, philosophical, and spiritual, but unfortunately no such things were present. It was the conclusion that truly ruined the film in my eyes, for I found it contradictory to everything that the films plot had attempted to imply about life and death. It was nothing more than a work of realism.

if you watch closely you'll notice the camera only focuses on her in that scene, even when Joseph walks into the picture it still focuses on her and she starts to breath very heavily as if she's re-born. :)

I saw this a while back. It was really intense - and of course, the subject matter was edgy and I LOVE edgy! haha. Also, Nicole Kidman is really good - and Lauren Bacall. (not a big fan of Anne Heche, though... *cough*) thanks for posting this. I may rent it again...
