Wish I would've seen this sooner. I tried really strong magnets, magnetic tape, modifying all kinds of ways. I was looking for a permanent fix, and created my own permanent fix. I drilled a hole through the handle, glued a bolt that had holes in it by the top of the glove box so when I close the lid it stuck through the handle just enough to get a clip through the hole, and its been this way for a year now.
