  • currently suhr guitar's are worlds most finest crafted guitar !

  • can you only own a suhr if you are awesome?

  • I like only Martin's solo..the only one who cares firstly about making the guitar really sing, and not only about using a lot of technique.

  • Best youtube jam ever !

  • how fluent are these guys. Really inspirational video

  • Any chance you could send me the backing track of this?

  • where the f*ck is Guthrie?

  • that descending lick at 2:36 is sublime!

  • you guys RIP!

  • Gminor and Bflat minor ?

  • what's the chords ??

  • martin is there way i can get the backing track of this?

  • I love Tom Quayle's legato techniques, so damn smooth!

  • Tom Quayle = smoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooth !

  • man this is soo fluid..like liquid

  • the one the first guy used.

  • @gbsons Looks like a Suhr Standard in Transparent Blue Denim. Maple neck, probably basswood body( they usually get painted black). The other three are Suhr Moderns. They're amazing guitars. Currently own one, but intend to own many more.

  • What Suhr model is that?

  • man, I want a suhr :(

  • 4:04 :3

  • G4????

  • Martin killed it. Love Rick too, but his tone sucks in this clip

  • if only marshall harrison had a suhr :(

  • awesome just made my day

  • what is the mode they use in most fusiony-jazzy solos like this?? please someone!!!

  • @MrBachRules1685 i think it is mostly dorian

  • @leonardogzm thanks man!

  • martin miller have the best part, love how the drums and bass patterns enter when he shreds ;)

  • Andy is so intense.

  • Tom - Fluidity/legato

    Andy - tricks/soul

    Martin - tasty licks/tone

    Rick - phrasing/very fusiony

  • enjoyed !

  • Come on Martin, let the cat out of the bag. What are you playing through to get that gnarly tone???

  • in my eyes Suhr has become the inside tip in the youtube guitar universe, at least if it comes to the new generation guitar fusion pros like those players in the video).. and ...yeah...and guthrie of course :DD

  • I love this hybrid picking, but I can't do it ... :-(

  • That second guy is so using a

    mahogany guitar.

  • What happened to the "EPIC FACE" comment at 2:55 ?!?!

  • @louie180 No idea what happened, I didn't delete it because I thought it was hilarious :)

  • @louie180 This is a Troll Face bro

  • that's so tasty i think i can eat it

  • Martin has the best tone! Tasty playing :)

  • One qestion: How the fak do they imptov like this? Omg its impossible to get skill like this........

  • @89ErwinR

im not sure what musical background you come from but... it IS POSSIBLE!!!

what it comes down to for me is practice... im no wizard, but i spent a year in music school and they ask for practicing 4 hours a day minimum... after 8 months of metronome practice and boring chord excercises and playing over jazz changes... the difference is unbelievable, i feel so much more comfortable

keep trying! it takes commitment to be this good... but once you are... well here are the results

  • @89ErwinR study + practice

  • Rick Graham!

  • martin miller and tom quayle were probably the best imo

  • Smells like Govan to me.

  • I feel ashamed to own a Suhr and can't play 5% these guys play. But that's life, at least I can enjoy good music. This was great.

  • MARTIN MILLER ...the best

  • just saw your show last night! fantastic!

  • Marco Sfogli and Guthrie Govan are watching this saying ´Ouch thats sloppy.. oh fuck! oh please stop imitating me´.

Just kidding theyre cool, I listen to this every once in a while.

I like Tom Quayle the best.

  • Marco sfogli ego lick at 2:35 :)

  • I loved Andy Wood's take the best!

  • @dotwarrant

Why? If anything, people like Tom, Andy, Martin, and Rick should inspire you to practice more. Hell, even now this video is giving me some ideas...

  • @WoWintosh as in you've stolen some? ;D :D

  • @OliverMazur

    I wish I could!

  • @WoWintosh do it man! i stole all the licks i liked and am trying to get em into my playing. it takes some time, u can use audio slow down program if u want but its worth it in the end :) u'll be training ur ear in the end as well

  • @OliverMazur

I decided to create a backing track based on this one's chord progression on my keyboard, so I could listen to it and try to improvise over it, rather than overtly copy the video. I have borrowed a few licks/ideas though.

  • @WoWintosh that's the right way mate ;)

  • you can 'derive' the chords from the notes that the bass plays. or at least an interpretation of this.

  • Freaking amazing!

  • Comment removed

  • 0:52 I love that Brett Garsed type ascending run!wow too many good guitar players out there!

  • @dotwarrant a suhr triangle?

  • @Winnders with a floyd rose..

  • Your guitars are on fire!

  • awesome guys! but where is steve hubbard?!

  • Great jam! I love their tones really. I was just wondering if anyone here can provide chords of the backing track. Thanks!

  • @rye715 There's a transcription package available from Martin's Site, the chords are included along with the tab, analysis and backing.

  • Everyone of you has a good technique , good gear and sound but Andy sounded a little more convincing than others .

  • Everyone has a good technique and sound , but Andy sounded a little bit more convincing than other , my 2c .

  • @dotwarrant: Whaha I'm buying a woodblok! lets start a band!

  • what backing track i need it

  • Martin what are your pickups? and amp? i will be ordering the same pickups for my RG. hopefully try to get a similar sound. you have the best tone ever!!!

  • @mojoefly I felt that i had to help a fellow guitarplayer with his question, so i searched for Martins guitar, and he has the common Suhr-pickups named SSV and SSH+, The SSV fits best in the neckposition and the SSH+ is used on every Suhr guitar i have seen, in the bridge position! If you search Martinmillerguitar PERIOD com, you will find the information on his guitar. Im not sure about the amp, but i think it might be a Diezel Herbert, wich is a really expensive but great amp.

  • @CobHatecrewNor hey thanks so much. Im gonna buy those pickups for sure.

  • @CobHatecrewNor Hey thanks so much. I'll definitely be buying the pickups. As for the amp it is out of budget for now. $3k is just too much. I'll get a Suhr first. thanks again.

  • @CobHatecrewNor i know that martin is using a pod a powered cab now and he has used a laney in the past, not sure of exact models but i read it in an interview somewhere. Andy has been associated with diezel amps.

  • why do i even bother trying any more :'(

  • Excellent.

  • GREAT job Martin!

  • great!

  • awsome. love the jazzy fusion take they did . loads of legato playing.very Greg howe.

  • imo Martin, the best solo ever played... no comment full dynamic and full expression ;( my playing is sux :((((((((((((((

  • I wish I had epic robot fingers... -_-

  • Amazing!!!!!! Miller is a killer!!!

  • I'm beginning to wonder if SUHR Guitars has some magical powers that will turn anyone who plays it to a Guthrie Govan caliber player.....these players sounds so much like Guthrie. phrasing, technique, tone.

Not a bad deal if I would sell a CAR and not eat for several days just to save and buy this $4,500 guitar if that is so.

  • So if I buy a suhr I can play like this right? =P

  • @cowcrusher Yes, if you buy a Suhr you will play like this. It's included in the price. How do you think Tom got so good? Heh? Heh? There is also some extra licks that come with some of the Cornford amps that are not included in the price but I think they just don't want you to know you are buying your technique too because everyone would just say you are good because of your gear.

  • where is guthrie..? ahhahha..

  • @michaelsiao He wasn't allowed to participate because he'd make the others look like fools lol

  • @michaelsiao But I can hear Guthrie's influence in this entire jam

  • Great jam ! but I was blown away by Andy Wood's tone !! Anybody knows what amp (or preamp) is he using ?

  • @Jadguitare badger 18, keeley comp and boss dd-3. dd-3 very low lie a 15 percent mix. gain very conservative, mids way up, its not an easy tone to play on but its really fat. thanks for the kinds words dude

    A Wood

  • @downfromup I'm going to kill you and steal your hands and your guitars. :( Just little things like at 1:48 .. sounds awesome XD

  • 324 likes, 9 dislikes

You gotta be kidding? Who are these 9 Justin Bieber lovers?

  • i hope u dont mind if i copy 2:31 - 2:42 :P

  • Fucking awesome playing Fella's, what would it take for you to get Guthrie Govan to participate?

  • Beautiful playing. I love the tone also. I want one! Truly, your playing is awesome.

  • Martin Miller, I like your tone the best

  • @ChadizzleFoshizzle

Andy may be my favorite guitar player of these four, But Mr. Miller and Mr. Quayle really shined on this one.

  • ... and what amps, pedals etc did they use on the video?

  • guys your playing is soooo beautyfull and perfect! thank you for you great music and your inspiration to all of us....the new generation!!!

    I salute you!

  • beast after beast !

  • that lick at the beggining of andys solo sounds so satriani, such amazing players with such amazing phrasing skills

  • fuuck yeah! is very very very AWESOME

  • Tom Quayle, you are such a brett garsed hybrid pickin' master

  • Tom has blazing amazing phrasing. Plus his tone is always killer. As if that weren't enough, he has absolutely beautiful legato, second only to Holdsworth himself.

  • excellent

  • AMAZING VIDEO SUHR POWER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WOW, never heard of Tom Quayle before but now I'm an official fan, that's some phrasing!!!!!

Simply killed all the others, IMHO.

One of the best phrasing I've ever heard, no doubt.

  • YOU GUYS ROCK !!!!

  • Mr. Wood, where I can download Guthrie Govan too?

    A Wood

  • Those Guys are our guitar - fuzion future:) good luck

  • man you look like drake from drake&josh martin! haha

  • All amazing solos! I have really decided to move towards a more jazz fusion style nowadays. I'll try and implement my own sorta musical upbringing into it and try and make something new and great and then maybe I'll be a suhr jammer too! hahaha

  • It's really satisfying and encouraging to see this new breed of musicians taking it to the next level. Good guitar playing will never die. God Bless.

  • Best playing : Quayle

    Best tone : Wischi

  • Almost 30 000 views in about four months or so. Nice.

  • Suhr has the best guitars and the classiest guitar players... hoping to get a modern somewhere in the near future

  • Gentlemen, beautiful stuff, but you all already know that :) just wondering, if I may.... was Andy using the DSH+ here 'cause I'm hearing that sonic debris, smooth/rounded highs and forthright mids that makes me love this Suhr pup on my alder bodied Davies N4 so much

  • @Riffronan nah, i was using ssh+ in this vid. But i have recently switched to the dsh+ and dsv pickups. they suit me a bit better,

    cheers!

    A Wood

  • I like how I just played this video in the background while I was doing some school work and I could tell that Tom Quayle played first and Rick Graham last. Their styles are so distinct they had a lot of moments where in I was like, "Ahh that's definitely Tom/Rick playing". Awesome vid and congrats on a successful project!
