I really really want one, because in my prospective, I think the ipods are alittle over-rated......they may be the future of the world, but to me there doing too much to fast!!!!! And looking at this, Many ppl may have this but most ppl wont know what it is!!!!!! I want what most ppl dont know, and this is an amazing device and I had the earlier version of the samsung YP and that was great, but this is SOOOO much better in my opinion!!!!!! :D

Hi I have couple of questions about this yp-p3 since you own it. So does this mp3 have different languages that you can select for the menus if so what different languages do they offer??? Also, does this device read the files if I simply click and drag the files from pc to this device or does it require certain program to download?

The cable connection is specific, and not usb, so I guess you would have to order another one from Samsung if you lose it.

And yes, it is drag and drop, and it also works with music subscription services like Rhapsody and Napster.

How customizable is the main menu? Are there alternate themes for the icons or is it just the one? Can you delete the apps it comes with (i doubt id find a use for some of them) only thing that kinda bugs me is that coffee cup with the heart on it (i think that's what it is) and the light bulb things kinda weird. I think i'll buy one as soon as i can if id be able to modify it a fair amount.

Great review, its a lot more helpful then looking at pictures on a future shop or best buy site.

The "P3" is the name of the device. mp3, and mp4 are file formats that can be played on the device. It's full name is "Samsung YP-P3".

I have both the ipod touch and the samsung p2. I like the touch for internet and i like the multitouch screen but the p2 kicks its ass in sound quality and i just dont like apple.

well first of all pretty much every review of the p2 gives credit for its GREAT sound, everyone knows the touch has no EQ settings, or even great sound quality.

the P2 has Dsne, a 3d sound program that makes sounds feel more real

o and not to mention that the P2 won the 2007 mp3 sound test from google, beating the itouch

HOWEVER, like i said, since i used the P2 mainly for media, i never had to use the touch as much as you'd think. sure it wasnt as responsive, but swiping the screen up down or sideways to go through your media worked like a charm.
