I have to be more responsible in word choice and text tone so to speak. Sorry guys....I love Joe Walsh, and the last thing I want to come across as would be someone that is critical of him. I guess one of my favorite live albums by anyone ever, is "the Smoker You get, The Player you Drink", and that sets a high bar for anyone, even Joe of course....We all get older, eh folks.....:). Off topic, but on topic as far as Joe's cool voice and great songwriting.I just love with that album "Barnstorm"

I put Joe Walsh on the level of the guitar greats like Jeff Beck, even Jimmy Page, Dave Gilmour, etc....had he not been such a partier, he would have had many of the same accolades as the others....I believe Felder and the other Eagles that are a primarily "guitar band", would all admit freely that J Walsh is a higher guitar talent than all of them. I love the Eagles, and I will look around and am certain I can find one of them saying it.

Great performance. I remember taping this song from the radio onto a cassette back in the day when I would make mix tapes. Boom boxes, cassettes, vinyl records, and great rock bands....I miss the late 70's/early 80's!

Joe Walsh was so great from the late 60s to the early 80s, peaking throughout the 70s. Was among my fav artists of an era. The only Eagle that can really do anything with a guitar compared to other guitarists of talent. People forget what a god Joe was on guitar. Joe still had a voice back then.

Seriously? Did you actually write that?! I have a live solo video of Joe and Felder on my channel. I'm a JW fan for life.. But he isn't better than Leadon or Felder. Apples & oranges, man. All four of the Eagle's original guitarists offered something unique that the other 3 couldn't bring2the table. Why else would they have been in the band? I provided an answer - yours is an opinion.
@Mr4suns I say that with all due respect - no interest in offending anyone. But I suggest more research on Felder and Leadon to anyone who doesn't think they're just as talented in their own ways. Felder wrote ALL the guitar work for Hotel Cali, Leadon was a brilliant guitarist (with the Eagles, anyway). And Joe's live stuff ALWAYS sounds best -w- the Eagles... even better than a lot of the Eagles' material. And Joe recycles some of his riffs a lot - something neither Felder or Leadon ever did.
