  • I know this older man. He is a retired teacher and farmer. He comes from a very well respected family. Being behind a fence or in a red zone should be no reason for a Canadian to be attacked in Canada! We are not in Berlin post WWII living behind the wall or in the red zone surrounding it. Or are we?

  • Astounding how many authoritarian followers are out there.

  • @partialtomusic Kind of sad to see people support the very system that puts them down

  • This isn't police brutality, waste of time.

  • Don't people have better things to do? Go play video games or something.

  • 1. Restricted area.

    2. More officers jumped in to arrest him when he tried to fight and stand back up 'waving' to the crowd.

    3. Multiple cops are used in all sorts of situations to arrest people that are resisting. If he had gone to the ground peacefully, for being in a legit restricted area like a sane person would, then he would have had less cops on him.

    4. There is no punching, kicking, or physical abuse in the video. This is not police brutality. Naming it so lessens your cause.

  • Brutality!? Where did you grow up? I've played Sunday League games more violent than that!

  • HAHA jackass deserved it. Take a hint moron.

  • do I press Like or dislike? I dislike the police brutality. So I like that the video caught them, but I dislike the content within... what do I do???

  • @BatteryEaters like the video:) haha

  • Too bad there wasn't more cops... Stupid idea to host the summit in bit cities. almost impossible to stop these loser protestors from destroying our peaceful city. Protestors are fags

  • This isn't even close to "brutality".

The man was in a restricted area, that he knew he wasn't allowed to be in. That's not "peaceful protesting".

He was pushed to the ground because he resisted arrest, that is a common and acceptable act.

Good job on the effort of the police. I applaud them for handling the protester in a civil and non-violent manner.

  • For those that don't know where this video was taken - it is directly outside the U.S. Consulate - an area that was fenced in and restricted. The protestor in the video clearly is behind the restricted fenced area.

This is an examply of protestors provoking the police - he was in an area in which he knew he would be arrested within seconds. It unfortunate that people post "gotcha" videos that are out of context in an attempt to sway public opinion against the police.

  • these protesters are idiots. What are you protesting for again? did the G8 hear you? NO you dumb bitch! you just pissed them off retards! this guy was clearly in an area he wasnt allowed to go in, theres no brutality here , only ignorance and stupidity of the protesters.

  • You think this is bad? LOL

  • You should all have rushed the cops when they tackled him.

  • @floormonkeys agree

  • They asked him to leave, he was in a restricted area, he refused to leave, and they gave him ample opportunity. "Peaceful" or not, they wont take a chance and put other people at potential risk, not when cars are burning, windows are smashed, and shots are being fired in the city. He resisted and brought it upon himself. I live in Toronto, and I really wished they moved the G20 somewhere else, but this hypocrisy is sick. The police were there to protect us from ourselves. People are idiots.

  • @Barentine

You are right. They blame the police no matter what. Peacefull my ass...Burning cars, smashing windows, etc.

  • All I see and hear in this video is a bunch of fucking pussies who should have have the shit beaten out of them! Ha ha ha!!

  • I honestly thought you were a Black Bloc protester after hearing you chant "Our city our streets" as I saw a group of them chanting that. Then I saw your description.

  • would you hold the fuckin camera still

  • beat those god damn hippies

  • lmaoo take that fuckin hippy down ahah

  • Man! When the Canucks say keep off the grass they're serious.

  • its funny that people riot then cry because the cops come out.

  • wth is wrong why have a riot

  • How did they spent that One billion dollar on security?

  • You moaners in Toronto should have gone to Pittsburgh where there was real police misconduct. Toronto (and Canadian Police) in general try much harder than their American counterparts to respect peoples rights.

  • The Protester may have been peaceful, but judging by the fences he was clearly in an area he was NOT allowed to be in.

I was trying to find Police brutality in this video but I couldn't find any, it's obvious that the reason they had so many Police is because they were trying not to harm the gentleman.

  • @Klaz he was being choked when he was on the ground! it's all zoomed in because during the heat of the moment I didn't think about the camera I was amazed at what I was witnessing. Also he was an older man who was of no threat to anybody

  • @Victorgoleche75 Leyt me get this straight... You claim this video is proof of police brutality, but when someone notes that no brutality was seen on the video, you claim, oh, it happened, believe me? really? The closest thing to a chock I saw was when one of the officers got him in an arm lock when he managed to wrestle free and start getting up. This is just another example of fear and hate mongering

  • @ it doesn't even matter.. he knew the rules, and where he was supposed to be and not to be.. there's clearly a big fence he crossed. Secondly, he obviously struggled. he refused to go back over the fence, and avoided being arrested. Thirdly, cops need to take everything seriously - take the riots and violence that happened downtown - are you telling me there was no older guys there at all? or that there were no concealed weapons? common. grow up and show some common sense.

  • @Victorgoleche75 he was also OBVIOUSLY carrying a thermonuclear weapon in his pants, and the police must have hit him with the taser like 50 times.

Look, I can make shit up too. There was no choking. The 2 officers pinned the man, he tried to get up, then the backup came forward and pinned and cuffed him. Then a large amount of riot police jumped in because the crowed had the ability to turn hostile.

Last time I checked there was a point of fences. Generally "hey, don't be on the other side".

  • @Klaz I agree, that was not police brutallity, he simply was resitsting. Its like a pediatrition restraining any child or a vet restraining an animal, its so they dont hurt themselves. He was clearly in an area where he wasnt supposed to be "peacefully protesting".

  • @Klaz not allowed as free citizens of the world were allowed to be where ever we want !!! sheep to the government might aswell take all are rights and freedoms away!!!

  • @21981twin You are NOT allowed to be wherever you want. Get a clue before you make yourself look like a complete idiot.

  • looked like fun : o

  • fuck the pigs, its terrible how you see all these cowards arresting innocent and peaceful protesters. someone should burn the rest of their cars!!!

  • hahahaha landrecce so true these guys made our a mess hope the cops beat them all fucken losers

  • The Black Bloc protestors were CRUSHED!!! Their efforts failed miserably, much to the delight of the rest of the city!

  • So many idiot in toronto this people should be all arrested i guess this are the type of people that has nothing to do but to be an idiot and so that they can have some attention poor people you better audition on tv shows so that you can be seen on tv or someone should listen or watch you to make your self feel better........... protesting in not peaceful...

  • the police in Toronto did a great job; people that were fully aware of what the police expected of them and those that did not abide by the police were seized and detained. Those that were asked to dispurse and did not deserve what they got....you people knew exactly what you were doing so don't ask me for sympathy or understanding....you got what you deserved. If believe the police were very patient and they did their homework.

  • Get some. Toronto police ftw

  • Youre so lucky you had a barrier. they fucking tackled me off my bike 6 of them and arrested me i didnt do shit they attacked so many people on queen st we were all peaceful and innocent.

  • Clearly Toronto is the place to be right now.

  • you're the coward homeboy.. go help bravestar!

  • @landrecce That's not the point. If people had gone in to help him, it would've defeated the point of a peaceful protest. Although the Black Bloc messed that up with their stupid violence

  • @Victorgoleche75 fair enough... peace is good
