i will tell you something interesting about quads. When you are in rough seas the outer engines get out of the water so much that the powerheads blows up on the outer engines.

verado 275's are the biggest scam there is. Its just a verado 250 that requires high test. save yourself like 3k and get quad 250 and put high test in it, or get 300s. or even better get etec's

sorry buddy etecs get just as good milage as 4 strokes maybe a little better and they r just as quiet i have a 200 ho etec best engine ive ever owned 36 miles out southwest pass 50 miles offshore trolling all day running back in got boat on trailer half a tank leftin 3-4 ft seas 80 gallon gas tank so if u dont know anybody that has one and u just want to keep thinkin that go test drive an etec

I own a Key West 225, Suzuki 250 4-stroke. 100 gallon tank, and 16x23 ss prop. I've found at 29 miles/hour, my "Suki is using 7.3 gph. That's damn near 4 Mpg! Realisticly, I have gone from New Smyrna, FL to Jacksonville, AND BACK on the intercoastal, a 330 mile trip and used 112 gallons. I re-fuel once, and have over 3/4 tank when I get back. 52 mph flat-out, and in the Manatee zones, it's as quiet as an electric trolling motor. Me likes, me likes!

nice gas bill... but nice engines i got a crestliner with a f200 yamaha and a the exact same boat with a 200 verado and there about the same but the gas bill on the yammi is wayyy better.

Verado has shitty performance! The drink more fuel and their top speed sucks despite their turbo! 4-strokes made by Yamaha easily win over Verado

WOW, im am a huge fan of outboards. i love the sound of I/O drives with stright pipes buy every time i have had I/O drives i get out on the water and i usally brake down, always a drive problem or starter, i got rid of my donzi with twin I/O's and got a brand new yellow fin, its a beast, with 3 merc 300hp, its got some awsome power, and handling is the best i have ever seen on such a big boat, i top out at around 80 MPH!!

Outboards rule. I have a 14 foot long all new Askeladden boat. It looks cool and its fun to drive. It has a Tohatsu 25 hp engine(tuned too 35...) and does 35 knots.
