I would not lay too much blame on her producers; consider probably none of the Chinese musicians had the experience working with such talent before. In fact, her 4 English songs were not bad at all. Among them, "to be loved" is my favorite.
I am quite happy about her progress. She is trying to increase her Chinese market share. We Chinese tend to be more emotionally constrained. Those explosive songs might not be as easily accepted by the population. In her new album, "Sorrow in G major" is one good example and I believe it is going to be a hit.
