As your 5.9 reaches in the 35000rpm ( very slowly I might add ) it just can't do any more ... so it changes to second gear, letting the motor rev up again ( even slower, because of the bigger gear ratio ) and so on with 3rd gear.
The brushless motor revs up th 60000rpm no questions asked ( WAY faster than even the most expensive and performant nitro engine, and i'm talking about Picco and the other good ones ) + it has WAYYYY more torqe than a nitro.
Nitro sounds nicer but doesnt have near as much power as electric has. An electric motor has full power from 1rpm - max whilst a nitro need to get up to 20000rpm or so before it has full power.
So thats why i drive electric... INSTANT POWER !!
It's cool to see RC trucks modified so well. But I'm sad that you gutted a Summit for the motor :( haha what is the origional Truck of that 6x6(before you modified it)?
It was a Team Associated MGT 8.0. Made a new rear diffhousing so i could make it 6x6. I have a Mamba monster combo in it now and its fast. Will make it 6x6 soon again .

125ccrotax - I dare you to race a 6S savage flux, The flux does so much more if you goose it to ALMOST half throttle. :)
Y'r XL won't even change to 2nd as the flux passes the finish line.
Oh, electric motors tend to keep their torque all over the rpm spectrum. Nitro struggles.

There is absolutely no comparison between electric and nitro.
