my femail has layed eggs now on the 3 day she has been realy cleaning out the cave but eggs are on the floor some are geting spat out of the cave then the mail gos round and picks them up whats happening are the eggs hatching or have the parents fed up and starting again please help
Ok, well they are about 1 and a half inchs when they become 2 inchs I am going to sell them because they were free and I was just thinking about profit.
Avoid keeping a pair in less than 80lt tank. Unless you'll have to remove the fry too early. Also try not to put other fish together with your krib pair.
This fry has grown up and the pair has some new now. The female is chasing away their previous babies, but the male is still protecting them all (both younger and older fry)

do you think I could keep kribs with livebreeders?
TheAquaSpecialist 2 years ago
This combination doesn't sound good... Therefore it depends on the tank size, livebreeder species & their size, number of places to hide etc.
The krbs could eat the fry from the livebreeders. They also could attack and stress them.
Kribs always become aggressive when breeding.

My tank is a 30 Gallon tank. The kribs are small and I am getting rid of them soon for profit.

If you don't have a 2nd tank, sell them or give them away.

does the eggs fall from the wall/roof of thecave to the botom once they start hatching?
bluetoro 2 years ago
I haven't seen such a thing, but it can be true. When the eggs start hatching, they also move, so it's possible to fall down.
