  • mine seems to lose radio if it gets more than 50 feet away. can seem to figure it out. I know that TX they give you kina sucks but any idea would be helpful. Thanks.

  • @LiteSpeedRC the crappy tx they give you should go a bit beyond 50 feet, but check the antennas aren't broken or something

  • superb well dun

  • Wow! after showing this to my missus she decided to have a go at flying my hz champ. She's now hooked as well and going to get us a t-28 so we can go flying together. Thank you for an awesome video, and contributing to my missus getting in rc flying, lol.

  • Great footage & hard to film these little micros

  • Flying these little things with a friend priceless......:)

  • @betofazzo thanks for watching, flying them with a group of friends, amazing

  • Just started the micro series with the Champ....I am sold...will not be going back to balsa/gas again!

  • Damm you now im hooked. very cool video work and some nice flying

  • @karlelvidge thanks a lot, the new corsairs and trojans are very cool too, and a lot more stable in some ways. Buddy of mine is going to put a 2cell brushless system into them too.

  • damn good camera work sir

  • @GrimReaperAirsoft thanks for subscribing

  • nice inverted flying!

  • @pikapoketpu thanks, she flies great

  • Great video! Thanks for doing it in slo-mo! Those little birds are fast!

  • great video im hooked on ultra micros there awesome!!!! i love the camera angles beutiful work!!

  • @LordBongSnipa69 Thanks a lot, awesome little planes. Planning on having a lot of them up at once this summer at one of our events.

  • Honestly I bought his a few weeks ago, and it was everything it is cracked up to be, cannot get a better RC that flies right out of the box like this for the money IMHO. I have the issue of lots of wind, and this is a TINY little bird, so watch out for wind, amazingly this thing can bite through sable wind and do some sick maneuvers anyway. Watch out for erratic wind patterns because this thing can JUMP right out of straight and level with as little as a puff of air.

  • @D3mang3l Wind is not bad with these, we actually were able to keep them almost still in stiff winds, zero airspeed flying . So much fun, but really good practice as you have to correct all the time.

    Thanks for watching

  • Hi,

Can you fly without the use of a ailerons? Just the rudder/elevator. ?

Reason I am asking is because I want to get my first ever rc ultra micro rc and I thought of getting a Ultra Micro J3 Cub which only have rudder/elevator.

So instead of learning to fly with that and upgrade to 4 channel airplane later...

I thought I would just get the p51? I mean price is same....

    What do you think?

  • @xxgg If it's your first RC plane, you should get the cub. It flies nicely, and slow, high wing, self correcting. Mustang is faster, more agile, very likely to spin out especially with their controller. If you had a good spectrum to bind to it, I'd say maybe, if you had any experience, but J3 will be much better, brighter easier to see far away etc etc

  • @xxgg Dunno if you already bought a plane yet but if your still deciding i'd recommend the micro T-28 by the same brand. They are also 4 channel but perhaps a tad more forgiving than the mustang would be. I am a first time flyer too and just my first ever RC flight today with one of those and I had the hang of it in about 5 minutes. Awesome planes, they are very resilient but quite responsive so take it easy on the ailerons!

  • @xxgg 1. Mustang won't fly without ailerons. It prefers to be flown with just ailerons and elevator.

    2. J3 is easier and slower.

    3. Micro T-58 is a little bit more stable according to a lot of people than P-51.

Hawk Sky is a good 4ch trainer although it is big. Whatever plane you choose, a good simulator time would really help you.

I had a couple months of simulator time and flew the Mustang without no problem as my first plane.

    I Hope this helps.

  • I just bought this off line yesterday and is said it will arrive in about a week. I never flew and rc plane before. So when i get this, should i fly it with the gears off so i can practice landing on the grass, so if i crash, i'll be on grass?

  • @TheFlight17 really you should download a free RC sim called clearview, and learn to fly them a little bit before you try it at all. Little harder than it looks. The gear will just pop off, especially in the grass, You can put it back on with a little scotch tape. Taking off intead of hand launching may be a bit easier for you eventually, but it's very thin foam, so try the sim for an hour and see how you do with that before trying it

  • @warderseeker

I have RealFlight 3.5. which plane should i fly for the most realistic to the p51

  • @TheFlight17 find a small electric, smaller the better. If you can, a low wing like a mustang, but something as small would be great

  • ive flown a parkzone slo-v, and got really good at it. how much harder would it be to fly this plane? i have a blade mcx, so i can buy the BNF version.

  • ya should be ok. If your radio has exponential, give it 30% on all the surfaces to soften the little movements

  • Two of the greatest things ever combined: Van Halen and RC airplanes!

  • @14MorrisonB thanks dude, like chocolate and peanut butter

  • Awesome camera work and flying too !!!

Arent they fun little planes ! Guys starting out try the PZ j-3 cub to start with !

    Blue skies to all !

  • @skynut831 thanks alot, yes J3 would be not bad in calm wind for beginners. Supercub is the best trainer around I think

  • how agile is this airplane??? can it do spins, inmelmans or something like that because i want a small plane to practice aerobatics for the corsair and the mustang bl...

  • @jorge2181996 very aerobatic, fly different than a bigger plane would, wing loading is way off. the Corsair is for practice, or a sim

  • thankyou...i love the look this plane...i use my corsair for everything but i am ( scared ) in a way of crashing it when doing rolls or inverted flights at a low height so i suppose this plane can help me to practice?? i don't think it is fragile..is it???

  • It's not the most durable plane, but will take crashes a bit better than the corsair I guess. Turn the power off if you're going in, and just try to roll it flat. Sim is way better for trying stuff, and just do stuff with the trojan a little lower each time.

  • are this easy to fly? never flew a air plane before..i always wanted a plane..might get one soon

  • no these are pretty tricky being so small. They are fully aerobatic too, so can't be to tame for people. The transmitter that comes with them doesn't help. If you have a radio, I know you don't, but they can be a lot more controllable. Get yourself a Supercub or mini supercub to start out, they are one of the best trainers, and very durable. Also if you can, get an RC simulator, not like FlightSim10 or whatever, one for Radio control like Realflight or Pheonix

  • terrible first plane. go with a wildhawk or a supercub. once you get the hang of it, this is a great plane to fly around the neighborhood.

  • great video man !!!!! Like the music and the slow mo's ... great video :) 5 stars... nice flying too :P

  • Thanks a lot, check out the video responses, one we're flying around with 3 of them at once

  • @farfennoogen thanks a lot dude, these are a lot of fun. Bigger batteries on order, more runtime, little more power even

  • I'm torn between one of these P-51's and an Ember 2! I can only afford one.

  • @Flumphinator P51 for sure, much more fun, and outdoors you'll get much more use from

  • @warderseeker

I ordered a P-51 about an hour ago :]. Thanks for the advice.

  • no problem. I just posted a video response with 3 of them up at once in formation with a mid air. It's just above the comments

  • @Flumphinator p51 because it can do more stuff

  • @sadraddude

Thanks for the recommendation. I ordered a P-51 just now.

  • Hello warderseeker, just wondering how much wind can this little planes handle?

I'm considering buying them so I can fly them at a baseball field, that should be enough space right?

But I have to consider the wind.... here it will never be less than 5-6 mph... I know that the Ember is almost imposibble to fly like that... so could you please let me know how much wind will they be able to handle?

    Thanks!!!

  • these handle huge wind with very little problem. I swear that I fly it in 20mph wind and was actually able to keep it in one place flying into the wind. We'll get more footage of a few of these up at once, and some windy flying too.

Baseball field is fine, I want to fly mine in my underground parking lot, slalom the concrete pillars LOL I'll be doing it with my new UM 4site for sure

  • i've done that too it's so much fun, you can just hover.

  • A++++ Great camera work. Very enjoyable to watch.

  • @vapovick thanks a lot, like getting cool shots of all this stuff, latest is a Mini Pulse and this weekend hopefully maiden fligth of two Sundowners doing formation flying

  • did you get yours from park zone

  • Where else? lol Actually I got it from the local hobby shop

  • i found these 3.7v 400mAh batteries for some helicopter. i get over 40 minutes of flying at full speed! no joke. i got 5 batteries for $15. i just had to change the connectors.

  • @mayi420uplease ya know a couple guys that have gotten the same ones, and they run long with good power

  • i've heard these are good but the batteries aren't good in cold. I'm ordering one tonight

  • these are great. We want to fly 1/2 dozen or more together. The lipos are no worse than other lipos for cold. They last 5 minutes or less, but get a couple extras and you're good for as long as you want basically

  • oh i got some 240mah lipos from hobbyking too.

  • I just got one of these myself and had one question before flying... I'll call it "chater" (i mean the noise the plane makes when the battery is in) is it normal to always sound like something's going on when you're not touching the controls?

  • @verliererkolben Mine does the same. I think it's just the servos trying to center properly. As they are so weak and light, even moving the plane around would decenter the servo and make it chatter a bit trying to find center again. Not a problem, it's normal

  • hello again with another question, how far will the plane go without going out of the transmitters reach?

  • tough to say, I've flown it pretty far up and away from me and haven't gone out of range, but it's a specturm 6400 rx and they don't list an actual ranger for it. I wouldn't go further than 200 feet or so, too small to see it

  • It's pretty small, so it won't go out of range before you completely lose sight of it, unless your name is legolas.

  • or Steve Austin hahah ... see if anyone gets that

  • You couldn't build 1 eye for 6 million nowadays.

  • okay thanks this is the best video iv seen for the p-51

  • hello will the stock transmitter still have the ability to make the plane do barrol rolls and flips and invirsions etc. stuff lioke that or do u have to get a more complicated transmitter

  • stock transmitter should still be able to do it all.

    thanks for watching

  • Best micro P51 video out there!!!

  • Right on, thanks a lot, great little plane. Want to see a bunch up together

  • I think it's the only one out there.

  • haha..no not the micro p51, think he means the video

    Thanks for subscribing

  • sposed to be more warbirds coming out too, micro bipe is coming out soon from em

  • yeah he made a great video

  • haha....thanks

  • nice again warder i might put some clips up of my new plane aswell...just finished it yesterday....a PHASE 6 advanced....66"or 5ft and a half it has rudder elevator and ailerons.

  • Thanks rob, cool post the vid for sure, sound good

  • hopefully i can video my dads maiden with it and my maiden..might buy a flycamone v2

  • i might make a video of mine and my dads hobby lobby which contains 5 models....as i said im only 11 my voice hasn't broken yet so its quite high on camera..LOL..5*

  • this is what i tried to tell my wife... size doesnt matter that much... it knowing how to use it!!! job well done!!

  • haha...all about how you use it, for sure

  • very nice video footage! love the micro p51!

  • Thanks for watching TorxT3D, subscribe to see more great HD footage on RCFreehold

  • Awesome video!! I just received two PZ Mustangs in the mail today :) One is its bigger brother though, not the Ultra-Micro :D

  • Thanks, good deal on the mail arrival. My mail lady is a troll but always glad to see her wave me down, cuz she has a plane or part lol

What's the other p51, just their regular size one?

I started on one of those hahah

  • The other arrival is the PZ P-51D Mustang Brushless BNF, 39in wingspan. My next kit plane is a Unionville Hobby Beaver on floats. It would be cool to have a whole squadron of those P-51 Ultra-Micros up :) Perhaps some Spitfires too when they come out.

  • nice !

  • gotta get one man, so we can have some little wings of mustangs flying around. More comin I here too, maybe some spits or german stuff

  • I assume the accompanying music would be Hendrix?

  • dude when is parkzone going to hire you for your vids...very nice

  • thanks neil, I'm actually hoping that an RC mag or someone like parkzone will see some of this stuff and give me a job lol. It's true though, most of my stuff looks better than most product vids

  • Nice Ronin, 5 stars for this one,the mini plane looks really cool.

  • Thanks Roger, very cool little plane. Next I want to see ducted fan jets that size lol

  • I keep seeing this micro flyer every where i go,could it be a calling do you think ? ;-) but don't think the missus will stand for another one but you never know what's around the corner.5*

  • I think the missus will be OK, very inexpensive and great fun for your dollar lol

  • Hide it from her in the glovebox

  • Hey Ronin. Nice video. Just wondering how long your flights are and if you are getting any soft lvc pulsing with your plane. I can only get about a 1.5 to 2 minute flight on mine before the pulsing starts and then I have to land it.

  • Hey markarch, thanks a lot. Yes, they only get about 2 minutes before you start to hear that pulsing. I've flown it for another minute or maybe even two at low speeds and had no problems getting it back, never seemed to drain it completely. The batteries are very cheap though, and that quad charger is too I think. If you have 3 batteries, you can almost fly continually

  • Ok well that is relieving to hear that you guys out on the west coast are having the same short run times as us over here on the east coast. I bet it is a bit cold out for the little lipos and we will see better run times once we get up above 65 deg. I finally have my CG sorted out and it is a blast to fly. Definitely makes for a fun sortie with others in the air. I do hear that they will be releasing a few more ultra micro warbirds later this year as well. Keep em coming!

  • Thanks man, we'll keep putting up vids for sure. Actually lipos don't suffer much in the cold, not like nimh or nicad. I actually fly all year round. Last winter we all flew strykers and did touch and go-s in the snow, I"ll send you the link

  • The shot of them all together was great.

I'm having fun with my micro P-51.

    5 Stars ~ Eric

  • Thanks a lot, Eric. Have to get me one, and get a bunch together. Want to see a dozen flying around

  • great filming ronin and nice flying!

    5 stars!!!

  • Thanks for the stars henman, Keith and CD were almost doing some formation there lol

  • Nice vid as always! Cool little plane.

  • Thanks moolikeacow2, they're pretty cool

  • Great video!

I saw Dave (NightFlyer) review them, he was flying in WAY more wind and it flew great!

I gotta git me wun o' these!

  • Thanks a lot! Dave always seems to be flying in wind and weather, but I've seen these fly backwards from the wind, and stay fairly stable, and enough power for it too. GIT WUN!

  • that is just pure awesomeness!

  • haha...thanks 95matte95 very awesome little planes

  • Another awesome video. I've been looking at these for a while and considering purchasing one for my second 4 channel. How long can you fly with it?

  • They fly for about 3 minutes maybe four, but the batteries are a single cell worth 8 bucks each, and they charge in 15 minutes, get a couple extras and you could fly continually

  • Sweet little Ponies.

  • lol @ attackangle Need some german wolves to chase em

  • I saw some other vids from this little airplane on YT (from the well known Nightflyyer you probably all know) and would definitely love to have it, looks real nice guys, again nice quality vid Ronin !

  • thanks beverke7, everyone should have one of these

  • Cool. 5*

  • Get one iecabus, a lot of fun, and indestructible, spiraled in a couple times in the wind, no damage

  • wow great inverted flying!! Seen those at the store they look great

  • Thanks Miro, cmon you know you want one, want a whole squadron of them out this winter lol

  • Yeah man that would be sweet! Definetly want one they look pretty stable for the size

  • crazy little planes and great pilots nice camera work too keep up the good work. =) what type of camera u got?

  • THanks Fearfull1, camera is a sony HDR-SR11 makes some really good film, then it's the editing software too

  • these are awsome!!

  • Gotta get one for $100

  • Dude your camera can make anything look good!

  • haha...gotta get one of these man, they were flying them in 15mph no problem, lots of power or slow, going reverse in the wind
