  • You should note that there is what's called a "Binding order." The Binding Order is because the drill does not drill all the holes for the pins perfectly on center, this means one pin will feel more "sticky" as you push it up than any other pins, this is the first in the "binding order." Once you get the first one to set (Where the top pin stops pushing the bottom pin down) you can get the second in the binding order and so on until it's picked.

  • i cant seem to get all of a the pins to stay up at the same time

  • Nice video, very well explained for beginners. Shame about the shit music though.

  • good vid, terrible music

  • Sweet.

The commenter below me is a noob.

  • what is the purpose of the key with no groves at the begining?

  • No purpose, just to show the pins.

  • Oh...I've been putting tension at the wrong angle, that's why it hasn't been working. I understand the basics, I just need to keep practicing until I get it. Although I did just start today...

  • Sorry to be the nOOb in the room but i still dont quite understand how to lift the pins. Just push them up and they will stay up?

  • The pins get stuck on the shear line created by tension on the plug.

  • ohhhh that makes sense. thanks

  • Very nicely explained, good advice on the amount of pressure to apply on the tension wrench.

  • who needs keys!

  • thanks for the tutorial , something that will be important for urban survival

  • nice video guys. i really get the idea.awesome.now if i only had the tools... :D

  • Haha, actually you can do this with a fork (for tension) and a paperclip unfolded for a pick!

  • A Perfect Circle owns.

    And so do you guys.

  • good work guys!

  • I'm going to break into my school, Thanks guys. Nice work.

  • lol nice idea

  • awesome...

  • Thanks for the video guys!

  • FINALLY, another video!

Perfect as usual. Keep 'em coming.

  • often people make th mistake of calling it the 'tension wrench' but you are not actually putting tension, but more of torsion or more popularly used torque. other than that pretty nice. I would not recommend using the clear plastic locks, because it will get you in a habit of using your sight, when you should rely on 70-80% feel and 20-30% sound ( hearing if the pins have caught.

  • they're just using the clear plastic locks so people watching the video can see what's going on... cuz after all a picture is worth a thousand words

  • i completely understand, i was just too attached to it.

  • Yea... I do get what you mean as well... it should definitely be based on feel and sound cuz after all you wont normally have the sight to depend on

  • Great stuff
