What kind of milk did you use? I'm going to buy one, i have a lot of videos about Aeroccino, and i have seen you milk is cream, but in all videos the milk is foam, and i want cream.
@benjifunkyman Hi.. the milk in the video is just a regular full fat milk from the farms they sell at Whole Foods. The Aeroccino comes with 2 attachment: 1 for making froth, and the other for making milk more creamy. One works great for drinks like a capaccino and the other for other milk based drinks like a Latte. If you want milk to be more creamy, you can try the other attachment that's included with the Aeroccino. Hope this helps :)
just got this for christmas and it looks like i am not the only one who is going to be using it, i realy have no clue about coffee that is why i viewed the video to see what you have to do, thankyou,
Thankyou for this vid, it's helped make up my mind. Was going to buy a Gaggia expresso machine but the time to grind the beans, measure, steam the milk then clean up I really don't have time for!On Amazin they gave Citiz 5 out of 5 stars.I also love that you can froth cold milk for Frappacinos etc,and that you can buy hot choc capsules so my little girl can benefit from it too.
Thx again, look forward to you showing us more yummy drinks x
@pavdiddy Also, if you want to make good espresso at home it can be done with a hand powered machine like a Presso and a hand grinder for cheaper than a Nespresso.
@renix@renix Who's going to pay $2,000 for an espresso machine to have at home? It's a nice illustration, and I'm sure it does a great espresso, but a typical consumer isn't going to buy something like that.
@pavdiddy I'm guessing that's around $1k, not 2. Typical consumers don't even know what espresso is, so no. Those who love espresso have no other option if they want to choose what they drink. There are maybe 5 distributors (that I know of) in the U.S. for home "prosumer" machines. Enough people buy them to keep them in business.
You are right about speed but not about quality. As you can see in the video the crema is very pale. I have had 5-6 shots of Nespresso from different stores and they are inedible. That's why you must add tons of milk for it to taste good. Nespresso machines do not brew correctly, something amateurs would not notice. Also, the coffee in the capsule is stale and preground, which is a bad thing fro espresso brewing.
@renix Well, I'm sorry to hear about your bad experiences. But I wonder, if you didn't like the coffee the first time, why did you end up taking 6 shots and in different stores? If it was so bad the first time, you should of stopped right there instead of torturing yourself with such "stale and pregound" coffee. I wish you good luck finding the perfect espresso. Everyone has different tastes, can't satisfy everyone.
@renix I tried different varieties and volume sizes to see the differences. It's also interesting to taste and see what people are perceiving to be "espresso" compared to the real thing. It's an unfortunate situation that most people believe this is correctly made espresso. It's not an issue of taste, it's an issue of making it right. Nespresso doesn't get very close.
Dang! That is a LOT of work...I don't wanna clean up that milk cup thingy....

I have one of these, they make great coffee but I still don't have a villa on Lake Como or WWE Diva to tuck me in at night.
