  • ma fi ahla min hayoufa ya 3asoula

  • i love y haifa kol aghaniki hilwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • Dont get me wrong, I like her. BUT, ALL my family and the people I know hate her because they say she's not min-makamna(on our level-meaning shes much lower).

  • yaarab2009mia,

But actually, THEY are "lower" -- because they have a hateful, judgmental mentality. The fact that they "hate" a harmless woman who hasn't done anything wrong shows that those people have evil attitudes.

Haifa is a warm, talented, open-hearted beautiful person -- unlike your friends and relatives. So, Haifa is on a much higher level than your hate-filled friends and relatives. They sound like a bunch of bigoted, sneering snobs who I wouldn't want to know.

  • I'll admit that hayfa is beautiful but... you have to admit that she's NOT ALL natural. Another thing, like FrankCoffman puts it- conservative fundamentalists (what ever that means),dont want the arab women to be looked at as a piece of meat, to be looked at as a whole bunch of SHARAMEET. Just live your life doing what ever you think is right and at the end we'll all pay for our mistakes. Dont get mad if the musilmeen dont like her, What do you expect?

  • yaarab2009,

You say that fundamentalists "don't want the arab women to be looked at as a piece of meat, to be looked at as a whole bunch of SHARAMEET."

But a woman isn't "a piece of meat" because she is attractive and sexy. That's Dark Ages mentality.

The conservative religious types like to judge and condemn other people -- for simply singing, dancing and looking sexy. These "holy people" are uptight, repressed and brainwashed in narrow-minded dogma. So, they hate anyone who is free.

  • frank thank u 4 ur wonderful videos! =-) highly appreciated

  • is she popular there?

she look like a doll :P

  • bananaxrepublica,

Yes, Haifa is one of the leading Arab singers. She is both loved and hated, depending on who you talk to. Obviously, she's not too popular with conservative fundamentalists.

  • I've never seen her perform this song before! This is one of my favorite songs of hers. So beautiful.

  • lebasilah,

Yes, I agree it's a beautiful song -- and it's nice to see Haifa singing it.

Here's a different video of this song on YouTube:

"Haifa Wehbe sings "Nar El Ashwa" (Fire of Desire)"

  • io love thios song..i wish i could dance as an arabic girl

  • haifa you are the best..she is so beautiful:X

  • this video is already translated but thx anyways

  • bplights,

Have you see this particular video before? I can't find this performance on YouTube.

It's a clearer video than some other versions of this song.

Anyway, I thought some people might enjoying seeing it. And then, I decided to add subtitles -- as well as Haifa's recent concert in Cairo on Valentine's Day.

  • Nope, never have! thanks for the video though. it adds a nice touch to it

  • This is old but none the less us fans are still grateful. Thanks for the subtitels :)

I've noticed that when the back up singers sung, you didn't subtitle. I think you should next time :) Thanks for the photos, not a huge fan of the dress LOL
