@ReviewCam well alot of petstores sell them but you can get a much healthier one from a smart breeder. for temperments, the black one was the meanest thing ever. she'd hiss, try to bite, but the little white one was a sweat heart. she'd sit on your shoulder, let you carry her around, little kids would hold her and everything. but sadly, i dont have chinchillas anymore...the white one (annie) died from a accident with some stairs...and i gave the black one (big mama) away.
Its not a very good idea to leave the dust house in the cage. They will chew the plastic AND urinate in the dust, which causes it to stick to their fur.
@ReviewsandShtuff My chinchilla doesn't urinate in his dust. He has his own special "litter box" in which he does so. Oh, but, if you didn't troll and actually educated yourself on chinchillas, you would know that. Attempt to make somebody else feel bad? Fail.
Okay, I need to rephrase that. SOME chinchilla's urinate in the dust, but A LOT will chew the plastic. So I'm sorry my care for animals offended you, but vet visits can get expensive, and I don't think anyone wants to deal with that.
i didnt think they would slide down it when i put them in there but they do! i think the moms to big but the white 1 goes down it. i put some dust at the bottom and she slid down and rolled in it. the only problem is annie the white one can slip through the bars so i had to put chicken wire around the cage...
where you buy chinchillas? What are their temperments like?

@SuperChimmy No..they don't. They like open space, and hommoks. They like closed in areas, but not tubes. They are big, and don't prefer tubes..
