  • I'm writing a paper on the censorship and banning of American Literature. Would you mind if i used the music as the background to my presentation for my paper?

  • @malinda61424 Yes, you may use it for your presentation. I'm flattered you would want to.

  • banning books and revamping them?---wow....cowards much?

  • The only bad thing I have to say about this song is you use the term "Run Away Jim" why didn't you use the term "Nigger Jim?" That's the term Mark Twain used. Did you yourself just censor Huck Finn in your song?

  • @ondfritz2 I needed 4 syllables. Also, Runaway Jim sounds good to me - more musical and rhythmic. To be honest, I never even thought about any other words there.

  • They banned Goosebumps???!! WTF

  • @GhettoBlaster100 Never fear. Goosebumps, and all the books referenced. have never been banned. There was a challenge on each book to have it removed from schools or libraries. I suspect they were challenged by people who don't read books.

  • Ok. How do I download it?

  • @HitmarkersForTheLose Try Download Helper for Firefox

  • hey can i use this for a project?

  • @HitmarkersForTheLose Yes, as long as I get attribution and it is not for profit.

  • Can I use your song for a project on banned books? I wont be changing it or anything, just giving it as an example for songs about banned books...

  • @n3rdf1ght3r Yes, as long as I get attribution and it is not for profit.

  • Haha awesome!

  • FANTASTIC!!

  • thanks so much for writing that song!

*instant fav* books should never be banned!

  • Thanks! I'm glad you like it.

  • WOW! Just---- good bloody gods WOW! This is f-ing awesome! Thank you.

So many of those books were required reading when I was in high school (1976). "The Catcher in the Rye," "Of Mice and Men," and "To Kill a Mocking Bird" were all required reading. My life would be much less noble without having read those books.

  • Thank you!

I read a number of them in high school and have recently read a few again. I don't know if they added any nobility, but I sure enjoy them.

  • I love those books!

  • I like the twisting Alice! and the bucket of huckleberries.

  • Well said Keith, and what a killer tune and recording!
