i have had better results deinterlacing the video then using apple motion's optical flow

Ok i'm going to defend ReVision since some of the top comments are negative. It took me 30 minutes to get everything figured out and now that I understand it, I'll be buying the full FxPlug in because this is insane!!

1080 30fps "up" to 120fps - a pan left to right of a motorcycle driving by with woods and grass in the Background. Almost no artifacts. Had I done this in Motion or AE I'd have had a hell of a time because things would have needed to be perfect (sunny, clear bg 1/1,200 f2.8).

@revisionfx we have top of the line Apple systems here (5 suites). Just a bummer there is not a better training video for this software. Even if your company charged 200-300 dollars for it, it is worth having.

You need to change the speed with Twixtor's settings or it will be using the FCP frame blending.

If i change the duration of the clip using FCPs spees tools, and then just add twixtor, will the twixtor frame blensing still occur or do you actually have to change the speed with twixtors settings?

@VelozMedia Perhaps it looks like its strobing because your computer may not be able to display every frame.

Are you using a free or student copy of FCE? If so, I believe it doesn't load our plugins. Also you must be using FCE 4.0.1 and not 4.0. Make sure you are using 4.0.1

@RevisionFX: Ive followed your tutorial to the letter... Im using 1920x1080 25P Apple Pro Res LT sequence setting. The resulting slomo is actually worse than what I achieve in Final Cut Pro. Also, your tutorial still shows the same results im getting.. very jerky slomo. My net connection is 32Mb/s fibre link.. other YouTube videos plays back with perfect motion.

No, you have misunderstood my comment. I'm saying your video's demonstration on slowmotion didn't show any different to fcp's slo mo. Still very jerky.

Your slo-mo effect in Twixtor didn't work! The result was exactly the same as if you'd done it in Final Cut Pro without the plugin.

Holy confusion batman! Why can't Twixtor just extend the media on a speed decrease like FCP does with the native time remap?

@iSanmuar If you watch the second part of the Twixtor Overview for FCP tutorial, I explain how to do what you are asking. I use 50% as the slow down factor but you can make it more if you want it slower.

i Cant add a new sequence to to my clips, like drag it over and then it says Sequences may not be added to sequences Recursively

@iSanmuar You should watch the tutorial again. You may have missed the part where you create and "interim sequence". This is where you add your clip and then you add that to another sequence, not the same sequence.

@iSanmuar It may appear choppy to you, due to your machine bandwidth being slow or maybe it can't play the HD footage. The footage doesn't play choppy here.
