I always play as england, i manage to keep my people happy so the baron's alliance don't rebel, i like england because they have great heavy infantry and archers, also good heavy cavalry but not a big variety. if you play as england on campaign you get loads of tax income because you have loads of cities.

Norway have good armies but in campaign game you lose a load of money in the first 20 or so turns. Also king Haakon dies in about 2 turns after he comes.

its easy as hell if you play as the irish :P i united all of ireland in only a few turns with no lost battles .. the british sued for peace .. i then got trade rights up with them ... the welsh and scots .. forged an allaince with wales and scotland .. built up ireland for a while till i could train the best units ... then slamed into the soft underbelly of england while they where busy with the scots and welsh .. from there pushed onto london and up to york .. great game :P

i chose the irish and together with the welsh we destroyed scotmand and england, fist i was in war with england and took teritory, then we ended the war and scotland atacked me, perfect swich of events ^^

I killed off all their elite units (they were in really large numbers). It was a long war, but once I realized that not elite swordsmen will win the battles for me, because they had units against every kind of weapons (lots of heavy and light cavalry, heavy infantry and archers, catapults) it was easy. Not easy for anybody to cut throught the hedgehog soldiers:) Especially not in dense forests as where I used them in because of the horsemen. I didnt go to Ireland as they were tough as I saw.

I was with the Scots because I like those William Wallace-style guys:) The Norvegians didn't do anything till the second half of the game (they only got two or three small islands on the north), just walking within their own territories with lots of full armies:) They were my favourite pets, I recently give them money as a present. They had lots of vikings, huscarls, but didn't use them:) At the end they attacked me, their best and only ally but with some cheap spear militia (schiltorm formation

There are 4 campaign parts to the expansion... You cab choose to install all 4 or whatever campaign you want!

@bryanJgraham101 not really it just adds 4 extra campaigns that amek up for the absence of imprtant factions in four fronts in the original grand campaign... however in the kingdoms campaigns if you select all in the custom battles for time period you'll have the original factions as an option for the battle...that's all i know anyways... still it is very fun and i highly recamend you buy the game

If you want a real challenge play as Wales or Norway. Although they have a strong military they only start with a few regions and have to deal with big armies with their small ones (In other words you'll be using a LOT of ambush tactics).
