  • my taste in real music brought me here

  • brought here by Patrick Bateman.

  • Roger brought me here

  • just heard this on american dad last night for the first time. love this song.

  • this song brings me inspiration :D

  • She seems to have an invisible torchy

  • Great song! they released one classic after another.

  • I'm fan of Genesis and I hate this song, I hate this album, the worst Genesis's album ...

  • @GabNRose you are from the Peter Gabriel era, the Phil collins era it's more accesible for everyone, (popular)

  • I dont usually like genesis but i love this song and the knife, abacab, and firth of fith.. oh crap dads turned me into a fan lol

  • Invisible Touch is an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Christy, take off your robe.

  • urgh Peter Gabriel Where are you?! This is nothing compared to the Gabriel days this is shit

  • @Tobyphoby

    yeeeeeeeeeeeeeah NO

  • Comment removed

  • @MHLUNA24 well its certainly no way near as sophisticated as the Gabriel days. And if you say NO to that then i guess you're just musically uneducated

  • @Tobyphoby

well your probably part of a minority if you prefer the gabriel days. Genesis's popularity shot right up once Phil Collins became lead singer. i mean just look at this song for example, it's their best selling single from their best selling album

  • @MHLUNA24 yes it is their best selling single from their best selling album - Genesis sold out for money after Gabriel left. They were an amazing mindblowing soul-touching intelligent progressive rock band in the Gabriel days. This is in my opinion mediocre

  • @Tobyphoby I agree. It's not that Phil Collins did such an amazing work as leader that made them sell more than ever before. It's just that he made Genesis music more accesible (pop-like). I, as you, am very fond of the Peter Gabriel era. But, hey, I'm just giving my opinion here.

  • afto to tragoudi ihe megali epitihia stin germania

  • I LOVE PHIL SOOOOOOO MUCH <3

  • What a song!

  • That vocal-canon at the end sounds amazing when the follow-voice sings "have". The keychange too. Out-standing tune!!

  • phil collins is so overrated singer and so underrated drummer...

  • @PeikkoKuningas95 Not at all

If you knew better you would know he is in the list of the 100 greatest drummers

AND he is absolutely not overrated as a singer, I mean DAMN have you ever heard anyone with a voice like Phil's NOOOO you haven't

And don't forget, he is a TOP songwriter too, so shhh

  • @MarekPick well i bet he is deffinetly not even top 1000 in the world but still good drummer ;D and gabriels genesis was better. only couple of albums with collins are good but it's all bullcrap after that :D so shhhh

  • @PeikkoKuningas95 My man.. he IS one of the 100 greatest drummers, it's a fact.

And Gabriel's Genesis wasn't better BUT different, more artistic, Collin's Genesis was more catchy, more successful with a very distinctive sound. I in general prefer Prog Rock but Phil Collins is my favorite singer because he has quality in his music and its pop. It's just taste and damn you if you can't appreciate songs like "Domino" or "In too Deep" and many more (no characters left) SO shhhh :P

  • @MarekPick still dont get it... are you saying that collins is equal to drummers like portnoy or donati?? no :D and there are underground drummers way better than collins so shhh!

  • @PeikkoKuningas95 I don't actually know who they are and I didn't say that he is the best, he is actually no22 after Portnoy(no8) and before Donati(no24) soooooo

    SHHH!

and really, not kidding he was in brandX before donati and with the early genesis he was awesome

He is in that list mostly because of his early years with genesis.

    so once again... shhh

  • @PeikkoKuningas95 And don't forget his signature gated reverb drum sound,

and I saw mrMike Portnoy's drum solos and I'll tell you something to me he just really fast but without much rhythm and flow LIKE all metal drummers

on the other hand Collins is a very rhythmic and fast drummer, just watch his solos

    SHHHHHH

  • @MarekPick you must be trolling... if you have ever heard portnoys music, you should know that RHYTHM is the most important thing that is needed to play music like dream theater. bad troll shhhh

  • @PeikkoKuningas95 Aaaaaand that's what I thought about you when you were saying STUFF(funny word) about Collins because obviously you don't know enough about him as I don't know shit about Portnoy (actually now I know a little) sooooooo aaaaall this... is pointless, but at least now that you know a little you can take back what you said or Shhhh

    or I'm gonna cry ;(

  • @MarekPick the first u said was collins being one of the worlds best drummers which is fiction due to i've seen many of them and do know their music and i can say that collins isn't even top 1000

  • @PeikkoKuningas95 That's what I'm sayin to yooo! He is one of the world's greatest Drummers, just go and check it on google. He is in every top 100 list, maybe not in the same number but he is!

And yes I don't doubt that you've seen many of them but you definitely haven't seen Collins in all his glory.

Seriously type "top 100 drummers ever" or "greatest drummers"

or even better Rolling Stone magazine's 100 greatest drummers cause at least they know something about music, go on

  • @KiillWiithMe @TheTerminator1238 He doesnt like this type of rock music infact he really really dislikes this type lol he compares many bad cars to this music - i love this type tho (:

  • My youngest son rounding third base sliding home tie game...safe! So very long ago and just yesterday...Phil was there on the loudspeaker that moment...so long ago and so far away...

  • raitttt.....:-)

  • @johnwaynegacy94 fuck you! i don't comprehend anything about true music! Geneis are one of the greatest bands in the world!!

  • exelent one!! :)

  • J'adore !!! Merci Phil...

  • 43 people were invisibly touched by their uncle

  • FANTASTICA

  • I think invisible touch is the group's undisputed masterpiece

  • @huray4random American Psycho ftw!

  • What is this song about?

  • @FalseAndUtopian I think it's about a girl who's so pretty she "touches" him with her beauty; if you listen to the lyrics, thats what it seems to be about.

  • "Here Harry, Harry, Harry...."

"For the love of God, Kali...what are you doing?!"

"I am luring Harry Hill into the garden with a Thai bride and some Genesis! Think about it! Its what all bald men want!"

  • @jack911996 - 42 accounts now. Persistant little bugger, isn't he?

  • @jack911996 And Phil Collins made 3,365 :P

  • @jack911996 why richard hammond if i may ask? :)

  • You know what I thought they sang before I read the text: She has the building of Billie Jean....she seems so half now, Isobel Touchee!

What can I say, English is not my first language... :)

  • 38 people were "touched" as children

  • 38 people don't have an invisible touch.

  • This is, with the Land of Confusion, my favourite songs from Genesis. They did a great work back then, and they would still do so. <3

  • Much better than Justin bieber and that lady gaga!!!

  • Incredible how it's still so fresh and actual !

Sounds not aged at all... such a science of music designing they had !

  • thats music :) not that crap that is played nowadays...

  • Excelente música, siempre escuchaba el " Toque Invisible " en Lima´80´s.

  • awesome song,album and group.long live genesis..

  • you can't compare these old awesome songs with this crap of today, great 80's

  • @Agga1904 agree with you 100%

  • @garibaldi144 thank you :)

  • @Agga1904

There is some good music around, its just hidden away and hard to find. The 80's really was amazing. :(

  • @cheekyleopard that's the point :)

  • @Agga1904 In the eighties, people we're saying the same thing of course.. but it is slightly depressing to think in thirty years someone somewhere will say the same thing on a Kesha video. Genesis we're getting a pretty bad reputation as a bad pop band when this was released and this song in particular seemed like it was better suited for Phil Collins solo career. Which was not seen as a good thing at the time.

  • GOD I Love Phil Collins!

  • @Hutai1997 what u telling him for?

  • GENESIS ROLLEZZZZZZZZZZ YEARH ^_^

  • What has happened to music these days, nothing will ever come close to Genesis.

  • i remember my dad would make me hear this sine i was a baby :) thanks daddy, now I know about good music

  • Patrick Bateman has good music taste. =P

  • marvellous album and brilliant album cover. I'm sure I have this on LP somewhere - have to find it. Must find it...

  • Lyrics:FIND THEM YOURSELF!!

  • Phil Collins........bloody wonderful, never tire of his voice and I'm well ancient . XXX

  • great song, collins and peter gabriel amazing musicians of the world...

  • This will forever remind me of Star Trek 3. "GIVE ME GENESISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!".

  • the live version is better

  • what a great song we can all relate to

  • perfect album , a little bit mainstream , but perfect , my fav. genesis album

  • Phil Collins is awesome, Genesis rocks and this song OWNS!

  • ive always loved phil's voice,it always seems so unique, almost as though its two people or somehow overdubbed, ive only heard a very few artists who have a voice like that, also he has an amazing ear for a stupidly catchy "hook" in his songs, one of the best,in pop anyway....

  • Phil Collins is a dick but i like his music

  • those 38 people watched this on opposite day

  • LOve it

  • pfff <3 im in love with this song..xD

..this song give me power :D!

  • This was my first one. All the others followed.

  • immortal... yeah perfect way to describe genesis and Phill's master pieces.

Long live the sound of immortality ^.^

  • Immortal...

  • 38 PEOPLE THINK THE LIKE BUTTON IS UPSIDE DOWN !

  • why is the other like button upside down?

  • GREAT SONG ! I LOVE IT !

  • wödscheibn

  • Amazing to think that just 4 years later Grunge was re-molding the pop music landscape.

  • Gigantisch <3

  • lol it sounds like sonic the hedgehog soundtrack from the 1990s love genesis

  • 1986 -> 2011 !!!

  • greatness!!i actually though i think the 1min 44 secs -1 min 58secs is terrible.!!

  • @macstar2010 I think it's a cool bridge and there you can see genesis having been a prog rock band before phil collins.

  • greatness!!

  • 38 people have an invisible artist!!!:D

  • 38 sad people :/

  • fantastic!!!

  • @TheFordy5 haha, apologies for my grammatical fail. I blame the heat of the rant myself.. :) I think people got my point though lol, cheers :)

  • Two all time best drummer's of all time Phil Collins + and Neil Peart any1 else just fails by comparison

  • I think Invisible Touch is the group's undisputed masterpiece.

  • I think this song is about Helen Keller.

  • now I know

  • @FarewellBlackSwan

At least Phil's voice got discovered as a result. And now he's not known as simply a drummer, but he was able to have his own solo career without ever leaving Genesis. Thank goodness some people can recognize a good thing when we see it.

  • Comment removed

  • is that cet you get orgasms lol

  • i get an orgasm at 0:00 to 0:05

  • @FarewellBlackSwan true I wouldnt even call it the same band after gabriel left. a great band but not comparable

  • @LittleMissPunkXxX *douche

  • SHE HAS A BUILT IN ABILITYYYYYY

  • @chunnin33 I'm just voicing an opinion, where others have done the same, and a harmless one at that. There's no need to get angry.

  • great song

  • this game is genesis, on the sega genesis, with music from..GENESIS!

  • I've never been a big fan of Collins-Genesis. I say, "Play me Old King Cole..."

  • @zombywoof92 I say fuck you. Why you here then?

  • 34 people hasn't felt the invisible touch

  • @luckyc120 I disliked this. I did not feel the touch.

  • @peterpib2 "I did not feel the touch" ... That's cause its invisible, Duh. lol

  • @RichMaxwell That only means you can't see it! If the invisible woman from the Fantastic 4 bumped into you, you'd be like 'woah who was that?' and you'd feel it.

  • for me this is all about the time in my life when everything was 100% AWESOME!

  • <3

  • I think Phil's voice is so chilling and perfect and genuine!!!!! yeah!!! 80s forever!!!!

  • @citrushottie123

To think he wasn't even the original lead singer of Genesis. Thank goodness Peter Gabriel left the band - Phil sings circles around Peter!

  • This album is 25 years old this year!! :) Happy 25th Birthday, Invisible Touch!

  • @SPeacock You are so right...still a great album and song :) It brings back the memories of 1986...:)

  • @TheWetguy1973 Me too :) I wish the band would release the outtakes (I'd Rather Be You, Feeding the Fire and Do the Neurotic) on a newly expanded edition of the album to mark its 25th anniversary, but I guess they were released on the Archives 2 box set, so it doesn't rally matter. :)

  • @SPeacock mary cristmas XD

  • Great tune, will always be remembered

  • 2:42 "She seems to have an invisible KEY-CHANGE!"

  • WAHOOOO! SUCH AN AMAZING SONG <3

  • This is the soundtrack for The Book of Genesis on Sega genesis. And the soundtrack is Genesis

  • Shut up about new things. I'd like to enjoy classics in peace.

  • @MrMilo13 What's an "ass comment"?
