  • Thank God for the "Yankee" transplant because it is the only thing that keeps this bible thumping backwards state from total collapse. When I heard the ruling today I knew it was a progressive judge not some TYPICAL FloriDUH bible thumping redneck thinking judge.

  • There is a Difference between Adoption and Foster Parenting, and the Fine Line should remain.

  • ACLU is wrong! Explorers (Columbus, .) were told by the Financiers of the Expeditions which settled the U.S.A. NOT to impurify themselves & to bring about War in opposition of 'Sodom and Gemorrah' behavior. Fight to the death against Homosexuality, as Not Tolerated. Cleansing of those who Force others to accept Social behaviors which are Unhealthy is Jihad. Should ACLU be Reprimanded? World Nations are Correct to oppose Adoption for same sex couples. The ACLU is also Wrong on Ask Not!

  • Beautiful... I'm a 63 year-old female Catholic - I'm a married heterosexual who has never been concerned about anyone's sexual orientation - I figure that's between them and their God and none of my business. I believe people should realize that there's is a huge difference between being "HOMOSEXUAL" and being a "PEDOPHILE". Children are harmed by "BAD" people regardless of their sexual orientation... we need to concentrate on protecting them from those kinds of people... God Bless Them All...

  • It doesn't matter if the parents are Gay, It matters if the kids are happy.

  • when everybodys gay like these guy encourage thats the day the world will stop spining if u now what i mean.

  • watch?v=1dkoSJt6xfY

  • This is utterly wrong. Those kids shouldn't loose their last names. If anything the parents could use their power of consent to take the kids' last names....what? oh...that's not the controversy? what is it then? gay adoption? what? who cares? aren't the kids well taken care of instead of orphan and alone in the world?....anyways I still disagree on the last name decision, that's as douche-baggy I can get.

  • This is so beautiful. I'm glad it all worked out. These are good parents and they actually care about these kids. Why would someone throw that away?

  • This is an awesome story! It gave me goosebumps!

  • I too am a foster parent and want to adopt a child that is currently in my home but I'm worried that they will refuse my request and the child that has been living with me for over a year will be moved.

  • humanity...centuries have passed and sad stories still come.

  • Going out of one's way to provide a caring family life for abused children is a selfless act especially in the face of legal challenges such as these people face. I cried when one little boy reached over and touched his dad's arm. Such a sweet demonstration of this bond of kindness and trust!

There is no reason to forbid anyone from creating a loving family in ways that are different from their own. Love manifests in infinite ways because fear really has no power over it!

  • I love stories with happy endings.

  • Life, THe American psychiatric,Assoc, The American Law Institute, THe American Bas Assoc. The World Health Org. The American Psciological Assoc. The American Medical Assoc. and the American Acadamy of Pediatrics all agree that homosexuality is normal. Belgium, The Netherlands, England, Canada Spain, South Africa all have gay marriage,,,and we are on that track now.

  • Actually the APA considered homosexuality pathological until 1973, when the work of Kinsey along with pressure from activists persuaded them to drop it from the list. Interestingly, we are now learning that much of Kinsey's work was greatly exaggerated. Some have even went as far as to call him a fraud. Some even claim Kinsey manipulated his data as he was an activist for his own bisexual lifestyle.

  • fuck, please provide evidence ( not for a Religious source )that homosexuality is a chosen and abnormal choice.

  • I never said it was chosen. Why would I provide a religious source? I'm agnostic. I can confidently tell you that to date, there is no scientific evidence for either proposition: homosexuality as genetic, nor homosexuality as choice. And I'm a scientist by the way. I simply said that the APA changed its original position (homosexuality as pathology) based on possibly flawed data.

  • fuck, Where did I say that Homosexuality is genetic? Its not,we do not know how it happpens in the womb, but we know it is not a choice. I was raised by a Scientist& grew up in Cocoa Beach Fl Home of the space program , and was raised around many scientist, and tended to be interested in data and findings through out the yrs on many different topics. It is however concluded one does not chose this.

  • "APA considered homosexuality pathological until 1973, when the work of Kinsey "

Who cares if some of the work of Kinsey was in some way incorrect or even biased? It still doesn't invalidate the huge scientific body found afterwords.

Plenty of scientists once thought black people wern't human either. Just because a social prejudice is so extreme that people not dare question it does not make it correct.

  • Life, oh please. How many children of gay parents do you know? 'Cause I'm one of them. I was raised by two gay dads. My parents are perfectly normal people and they provided a safe and loving home for us. There was no domestic violence or child abuse in our house. And my dads have been together over 25 years. They are not "killing themselves" by being gay, and they certainly didn't harm us. My brothers and I have good lives.

  • Ignorant Ass.

  • Wonderful! If only Arkansas wasn't so STUPID!

  • This made me so happy. Regardless of whether one believes in gay marriage, raising children is the most important thing in the world, and any capable parent deserves that right.

  • Since when did raising children become a right?

  • I don't get your question. Do you mean that no one has a right to have or raise children? That doens't make sense.

  • Yes, no one has a right to raise a child, especially one that is not biologically their own. Who or what do you think grants such a right to us?

  • So if no one has the right to raise a child that's not their own...are they spose to just leave the child out on the streets or just anywhere to die?

  • As long as the people are qualified, they should have an equal chance to adopt a child. There's no reason for discrimination in adoption.

  • I'm glad that the kids were happy about it and that they got adopted into a good home.
