I think we have an illusion of free elections but I honestly dont believe that the voters determine the outcome of it, just made to feel they do. Why throw away the electronic voting? We need OPEN SOURCE electronic voting, so that there is no doubt what the programs are doing. Furthermore, we need oversight, accountability. There need to be consequences for those who violate the integrity of the voiting process.

I disagree with the basic tenent here: THE MACHINES ARE THE PROBLEM. All voting machines should be computerless since only computerless machines have a chance of being counted correctly. THE WHOLE POINT OF COMPUTER VOTING IS TO SECRETLY STEAL VOTES. The machine ITSELF hides the fact that it steals votes, and if the program is inspected by an expert, the machine knows this and instantly substitutes an 'honest' program. This besides there being no audit trail. WAKE UP AMERICA.
