I know, and it is a sad state to see what is on the roads now too. It is so humiliating for a once proud continent. Does anybody really think where these new cars come from that they really give one iota of respect for us?
Yeah, My grandad would only let you park in his yard if you drove a Ford, Dodge, GMC, Oldsmobile or the likes. No body realizes that North America single handedly invented the automotive industry, maby not the automobile, but we did indeed create market. We don't get the respect we deserve, because idiots who think plastic, and carbon fiber is alot safer, and more durable than steel, and alluminum.
Unfortunately people are so regimented and only see as far as the end of their noses, they don't realize just how much their choices affect things so far down the road. We trade and buy with glee from a country which supresses so many basic rights and freedoms, and sticks their tongues out at us to try and stop them. And everybody has the 'me too' syndrome of having to have the same Jap Scrap that their neighbor has.I will not buy into this. It saddens me to see this souless stuff on the road
You have got the point pegged!!!!!! Whats the fun in driving a car everbody esle has, that feels like a steryle pile plastic, When you could drive a vehicle that will reward you with that special feeling, like my F350 or Mustangs, or your Vistacruser or Eagle. It makes me exuberant to know that people all across North America feel this way. I personaly belive that we should force a tax on Import cars, and let NAFDA do its work again
That was an interesting car that 50 Ford T-bird that would be a lot of work to build that. That Ford wagon you wern't sure of is a 57 the 58's had twin oval tail lights.

The Ford was a 1957, the 1958's also had 4 headlights, this one had only two.
