Earth is easily available! What a ASS HOLE. Graveyards are occupying lands,and poors have no place to live.Tons of wood is required!! What a ass hole this man is.We cannot reuse the land once someone is buried there,but places where bodies are burnt can be used again and again and forever.Earth becomes fertile? @mky602 dude nobody goes and uses the graveyard to plow and plant. It happens over time. City's and towns are built on graveyards. The graveyards in middle east are often used and re-used (this happens over very long durations of time) You only need to purchase land if you want to bury someone near you, like within a City. Besides the subject of this discussion is what is scientifically better. I have seen a 5star hotel built on a very old graveyard (in middle of a very posh locality)

when we burn a body we pour the ash of the person into water .... so adsorption occurs into water and it gets purified ... we bury the child if it dies before the age of 5

Cremation is not the disaster this man makes it out to be& burial, especially in western cultures, bodies chock full of embalming fluid& interred in coffins is NOT good for the Earth. Cemetery plots are costly& in most countries, you cannot bury your dead on your property. I'd love to be wrapped in a cotton shroud & buried somewhere serene, without headstones, but cemeteries of this sort are not popular in the US & cost a lot. I refuse to be a burden, so I will be cremated, no matter my beliefs!

this is dumb...burying is not cheap at least not in mumbai.one ends up paying great amounts for burial. he says burying makes soil fertile...i've yet to see a graveyard under cutivation!!!! i also agree the conventional way of burning bodies causes pollution and lots of natural resources are consumed. electric crematorium is the most sensible option in today's day and age. burial grounds occupy space that can be put to better use, crematoriums are more eco friendly any day.

Burial grounds are a waste of space because people make them permanent, spending large amounts of money on coffins which cannot degrade, and permanent headstones. In Islam, u do not bury them in coffins, and u do not put grave stones there, so the ground can be reused later on.
