ive heard that the game will start as you trying to protect the cities from the locust sinking them like they do smaller patches of ground when they make an emergence hole. from some of the videos you can probably tell there defense didn't work thats about all i know on the storyline but its still not for sure they might have been just feeding me bullshit.
also the defense against the giant emergence holes were these big ass mobile supports.
I don't think he's dead. I love that, "OH, SHIT," look on his face right before Marcus puts the choke hold on him! It also looks like he is screaming like a little girl as Marcus runs down the stairs. If that scene is actually playable in the game, that is easily worth the $60!
I hope that they leave some of the story to the imagination and don't give away everything... Hopefully the gameplay has evolved the game into something better...
With all rights - Epic once again prooved their professionalism with the first Gears of War game - and the second builds on upon everything in every single aspect. If it won't be great it'll atleast be perfect.
The poem was written by Alan Seeger. He fought in World War I. The version in this trailer takes different lines from the poem and puts it together rather than use the whole thing. It's still pretty good.

no way in hell is he better than shakespeare if you goin on the assumption that all his stuff is light and not dark compared to alan seeger, raven is excellent poem but dont forget William Blake. He defiantly a really good poet. But its made but William Morgan Sheppard doing the reading. Poem was cut down to be shortened for the trailer.

the poem is called "I Have a Rendezvous with Death", by Alan Seeger. It was made I think in 1919. Not sure who the speaker is, might be the same guy that did Marcus Fenix, but he only reads a few lines of the poem not the whole thing.

I have a ps3 and went to play the first one to my friends house and it was awesome almost as good as MGS4(as good really) its just my opinion so don't flame me both games are the bomb
