The guy pulled a sharp right turn out of a camping site through a ditch in order to avoid the one-way loop around the whole campground and save himself the three minute drive. He obviously miscalculated the clearance of the overhang behind the back wheels :)

See why car models are a good thing? After we saw the stuck motorhome and the owners went for help, Cindy found a discarded toy, and had the idea for the ending. The tow rope was already there so it came to pass :)
