Nice people do get shit on, I guess I will just always get shit on then. We certainly do need more Kotas, and this anime shows that the human mind is a lot more complex than we think and we tend to try and "toughen up" to hide our emotions leading to hate.

This amv is kinda different from others elfen lied videos I've seen. You left out the bloody parts, to highlight the psycological side. I mean it really reminds me of lucy's experiences and suffering, but in a deeper way... I liked it ^^

My guess the reason it's called Elfen Lied is (Elf Song) is because the main characters the girls have those weird ears made of bones which almost resemble elf ears and they also have mystical powers almost like a elves, Though I may be wrong just a guess.

It's named after a poem called Elfenlied. It's German, and in the manga, the character Nozomi sings it, and Nyuu takes a liking to it.

The person who wrote the poem also has a poem about a character called Silpelit. You make the connection there.
