The only way to beat a YGO player with magic cards, is to do one of the unlimited mana comboes. Or just stalling him, lulz.

@Duobitdezo Thats what i said. You could stall him. As a magic player would proberbly have 60 cards, and a yu-gi-oh player only 40, the magic player can win with some decent stall.

Huh, thats funny how they kid playing the MtG deck has some kind of aggro-elf/goblin deck. In other words, garbage! If he played something from vintage, legacy, or even extended (these are game types where you can only use certian sets w/ some restrictions and bans) the MtG side could use Hulk-Flash (a 30% chance to win on the first turn to 70% chance on turn 2); Uba-Stacks (say good bye to cards you draw and say hello to R.F.G.); even Fish would could dominate with simple counter mage, FoW FTW!

I don't know much about Yugioh and there might be some turn one decks or w/e. But, if you're going to do a MtG vs Yugioh, try to vs tier 1 (even 2) vintage decks.

Sure you gotta have big bucks, but I've seen ppl sell moxes/duals for peanuts! Note: don't do drugs kids or you might be selling $1000+ cards for meth! Trust me, I've some a jack-ass use a card that's worth a little over $850 as a coaster, but now worth as much as an empty box of Frosted Flakes.... o.O

On principle I say that Magic is the better game, but they are very different. Magic is economy-based with the mana management.

have you ever tried this with a fully powered T1 deck like flash-hulk i doubt the same thing would happen. you be dead before your first turn, if you went first they won't take a turn before you would be dead

the only way to play a game like that with out it being a mismatch is the yugioh player plays with 20 and magic 8000 or both with 8000 and all the magic players creatures power and toughness gets 3 zeros
