Civilization revolution ONLY makes sense to be played on a handheld with very little memory and less than 200 mhz CPU, such as the NDS. to play such a bad excuse for the civilization franchise on any other console onlyshows how dumb these consoles and their fans are. because these consoles could very easily play the FULL civilizattion 4, instead of its dumbed down mini version that this is.

I won basically all of Chieftain and warlord of all victories, but i only won one damn king game... I got up to the point where i got enough science to win, but didnt have enough turns to have the ship land, and I could of won with culture but once again, not enough time to build. Then once the time ran out, it said i was winning in domination, but then once the game ended I apparently went from 1st to fourth in 2 turns...
I never get a chance to win... Is it easy to beat it with anybody? cus i wanna try winning every way with everybody. I must be doing something wrong but idk.
Try to focus and stay a head of everyone else in everything while still leaning towards the conditions you want. Decide on which way you want to beat that particular scenario early on but remember, stay ahead. (i.e. If its domination lean towards Military Units and found military cities that should be well guarded.) Use your country's abilities with a passion and if some one seems to be pulling ahead... CRUSH THEM. Sometimes its also luck with where you start off and what resources are near you.
You won't always win because sometimes stupid things happen. Also look over the charts of advancements a lot to see which branch you want to take to help you in your goal. Just don't get discouraged upon defeat and take it as a chance to learn from mistakes and learn what the opponent did to win. It'll also give you a chance to get them back and maybe blow them away the next time. It get easier with constant practice and execution.
I am learning from my losses, and im not really caring if i lose. I still have fun when doing it. Idk how i won with America in the Gold stuff, but i did. Ive been trying my best to get culture victory cus thats what i am usually good at, but the hardest part for me is building the wonders before the others. Population is so slow sometimes.

It's not dumbed down for new players. They wanted to make a great Civ game for consoles. Playing Civ IV on a controller would be impossible. They did take it in a slightly less involved direction, but it's nice to not need a whole day to play a game.
In a lot of ways they just cut the fat from the game. They made the maps smaller, made the technology tree smaller, and streamlined the unit control scheme for a controller.
No matter how you look at it, I'm pumped for Civilization Revolution

no, if you have watched the talks with the makers, they said they would make sure it was better, or as good as Civ4.
The graphics are TWICE as better for one thing. the only bad thing is that the computer versions can be played with bigger maps and more people.
There are a lot of differences. Trust me its a must buy if your a civ fan.

YUP, from what i can tell of the demo it takes away most the old features. It's not complicated enough for civ fans, but too complicated for any other gamesrs

Man are the graghics enhanced or what? Why didn't they put it on a PC though? Sid Meiers is 55 and he's still designing away. Is he a genius or what? Please load a PC wersion of this. It probably won't match Halo 3 though.

Wow you watch a video to decide if you like it? Try playing the demo. As far as im concerned they didnt dumb it down they redefined it for the console and had to make it shorter for online matches. I agree there isnt as much micromanagement but its still a good game...

Anyone saying that this or other CIV games are boring are the very reason why most games suck these days. Too many FPS, and dumbed down games developed that way to fit the poor gaming skills of the players.

no. not really. its a wider audience, so more older players who arent great with controls, girls (nuff said) and casual gamers who get intimidated by games where its all stats and micr-management.
