I think the central idea is having the funny people deal with issues that aren't funny, kind of like calling a film 'monsters' with not very many monsters in it. Pre-conceptions shape cinema experience

2.Adam Sandler lets himself get his ass kicked.

4.His ex-girlfriend go's back to her cheating husband.

They shoud call this movie "Not so Funny People".

The only things I liked about the movie is seeing all comedians and my favorite rapper Eminem .

I remember you guys from when I use to do open mic at the Comedy Store. I usually listen to your reviews before seeing the film...with that said...You left out that this movie is 61 hours long and could have easily ended 3 seperate times. I think it's totally an LA movie, and a movie a comedian can appreciate...but you should allot a set amount of time to see it...and not drink to much during the film.

I have to agree with you here Doc. It is a little too long for sure. The scene at Leslie Mann's house could have been 5 minutes instead of 30. I still think it is a pretty good movie though. I agree guys,the movie rocks. The first half is definitely better, but it's still by far one of the strongest of 2009. Way better than The Hangover. But yeah, one thing I do disagree with is the dude who thinks it's Seth Rogen's best since 40 Year-Old-Virgin.  Rogen's got better with each film, I think!

Great Review!.. and it's true many ppl don't know how to go to the movies, or react to certain films... not that open minded to new things... hate to see that, Agree with you guys that movie was FUNNY in its own right. This is deftly a new kind of comedy that reflects a simple truth of ordinary ppl without going over the line funny. That's what i like most bout judd apatow's films

I'm not big on Sandler, a lot of his comedy films are sort of the same kind of role. But I did like Click a lot, and it looks like this is good too.
