It wasn't a hot start, it can stay in the red for a certain amount of seconds, dependent on the aircraft. It's a hot start if it DOESN'T drop back down to the yellow or green after so many seconds. I know on the 500 it's around 10 seconds for the red and 1 second for above 927 degrees. Good video, I like the setup of the collective.

Great video and cool helicopter. Best explanation for an engine start, I would love to watch the rest of the video and other chapters. When can I buy a copy of the video? Sporty's? King Schools?
