This is not the Mighty Mouse I know, even back when I saw this as a kid on the "50 Greatest Cartoons of All Time" VHS. The one I know is the one we see on this episode's title screen.
This is a weird one - we used to always watch this on one of those public domain VHS things, but it NEVER had the narrator. Every version of this I've seen on YouTube or DVD has the narrator talking over it. Was it selective hearing on my part, or is there another version of this cartoon somewhere?
@LiimLsan It's always intrigued me on how they could overlay so much action on a single painted background cell. It took so much patience and talent back then. Now computers fill in the sequence and backgrounds, but it still takes talent to draw. I get laughed at for my terrible stick figures. I have no artistic talent at all.
Well, of course, the nefarious wolves, failing with their Dolly Parton version of Bo Peep, resort finally to luring the poor lamb with jazz. Call in Mighty Mouse!

@RyanWithTwoHeads Very good question. I have noticed that in a few cartoons before.

I saw this cartoon when i was like four, and it's the first one i remember watching.
Right now I'm studying animation at Sheridan, and decided to look for this one for the first time.
And i'm commenting that 'the house cauldron shot is panned on twos for the sake of cheapness' and 'cel levels' and 'character arc'...
and i can't just accept that it's a mouse beating up wolves who want to eat a lamb. That's all i need.
thanks for bringing back my toddlerdom. ^^
