Marriage is a state institution. Marriage can exist without religion. Marriage can NOT exist without the state. The church acknowledges this at EVERY wedding when the minister says "by the power invested in me by the state of California (or any other state)" Equal protections must be applied to the signing of a legal contract between 2 people. A wedding can sometimes be a religious blessing of the contract....but it is NOT the marriage itself.
Yeah, the great irony is that conservatives claim marriage is a 'holy institution' created by god, yet you have to get a blood test, go to a judge and fill out paperwork with the gov't.
I think they need to make up their minds. Either it is a state institution and religion needs to STFU, or it is a religious institution, and the gov't needs to stop issuing marriage licenses and issue civil unions instead.
I talked about adoption in a previous video. I don't consider it unfair to the child because gay parents are better than broken foster homes, and kids are always going to be made fun of for something.
I did not send money to TAA, I didn't even see his blogTV session. I did however watch a couple hours of Coughlan's 24 hour blogTV and sent him a few dollars for the African charity he is supporting.
i see! but than why shouldent singels have the right to adopt a child? justice for all! no discrimination! ; ) year and you also cannot "raise" someone to a "gay", if that would be possible than why people become gay, in a hetero family? lol so is it biological? nah i dont think so! is it a instinct going wrong? hmm ore just love? maybee a natural protection against overpopulation! i have no clue just some thaughts
@embracedestruction Homosexuals should be allowed to adopt, marry, etc. They should have equal rights period. I can't understand why they don't. Maybe it's because I'm young, or, maybe it's because I'm not a complete moron like some homophobes. Sorry for any rude comments, but, this is just how I feel. My personal opinion. Seems like some people can't grasp the concept of an opinion.
Ding ding Ding ding, we have a genius XD watch out for the hateful people! Like national organization for marriage hate group! I wonder what the laws are on commercializing... does a network have the right to deny someone's commercial air time if they don't agree with it? o.o
Good points. I thought it was rediculous back when they voted on prop 8. Voting on rights? That isn't right. Like you said if they voted on rights for blacks then they wouldn't have had them. Good stuff.
Oh, and thanks for stopping by, and complimenting my pwnage.
It's nice to see someone who can think for themselves on this issue. Tired of the same old excuses for an argument that is solely religion based.
