ive actually been to the first japanese restaurant in this video. it is owned by japanese people. you would think youre in japan. everyone who worked there had the urban japan thing goin on and dressed in jap style of clothing. (what i mean are dunks and baggy clothes and dyed hair). cooks and waiters would sometimes smoke on the stairstep which is the entrance of the restaurant. food is not that good. its alright. super crowded in there and TINY TINY restaurant. if you like the vibe then go.

Man this video is BS. There are alot better japanese restaurants in NY then the now crowded spots in St.marks and soho. Kenka is well past its prime (thank you drunks and cheap college students) I remember a few years ago no one wanted to even walk in there!! it was all yakitori to be cool. haha, i love how that shows how ignorant you are. Im 15 and though i enjoy a hamburger or a cheeseburger sometimes (which is very large in japan, china, and many other places around the world) so there im not exactly alone. Sushi wise im the most developed person in 3 generations of my family, and no i dont only eat california roll. And real Japanese/korean food i find really delicious. (sushi= served with rice) so really a lot of things are sushi. =/
