The answer is yes. If we stop buying the marketers crap...they will still be rich. They will still rule. They will find ways to exploit to make money. If we want these youth to stop degrading their communities and selves with this music, we have to tear down the present oppressive system. What can you do in your neighborhood and city to empower these youth so they can turn from this degradation? They need jobs, they need clothing, they need hope, they need advocates. Will you help?

Yes, I think your appeal would be heard most by the people. However, these young men have found a way out of their ghettos. They have found a job that not only pays the bill, but is making them rich. They are being fed, clothed and living the American dream that was denied to them previously. Black women, get loud and fight because they have to be heard. They have to be fighters and advocates of their children. They are overlooked and not heard, so they speak loud until you hear them.

As a young african american woman, I think the points you make are right on. The majority of the sheep do not see that Hip Hop music has been taken over by the establishment.

At one time Hip Hop music was about embracing our black culture, showing love to all people, and speaking out against the atrocities that were being committed politically and locally. Now, those types of songs don't get air play. We are bombarding with hip hop filled with violence ,sex and consumerism
